My husband and I along with three others stayed 4 nights and absolutely loved the condo. It was beautifully decorated, clean, roomy, and we enjoyed the hot tub on the patio and the view was spectacular! The wine cooler and ice maker a plus. The arm bands...........what a great idea, no more worrying about codes and keys and access to everything at Turquoise. The entire complex was first class. Only wish the bar had stayed open later as it was football season and would have been nice to watch some games later in the evening as it is such a nice area and being outside and all. Turquoise is close to stores and restaurants and if you want to eat in.... how about that grill on the patio! Staff was great and check-in a breeze. Thank you LaDayne for allowing us to enjoy your beautiful home! You will not be disappointed staying at Turquoise. Orange Beach is a wonderful place to vacation! We hope to return next year.
we have done absolutely nothing and have yet to even hang out on our balcony. We are all 20 something women and he was talking to us as if we were children! When we get back to the condo later that night (around 10:45pm) my group and I were walking to the elevators where the security guard was talking to another guest. The guest looks at our group and tells the guard "uh oh" and the guard looks at our group and says "Yea they look like trouble to me." We said not one word and continued up to our room when we got to our room we went straight out to the balcony and noticed that the guard had already walked around to the back of the property and was sitting in a beach chair by the pool and watching us on our balcony as if he was just waiting to shine his light at us. The next night after going out we got in about 2:30 am and sure enough he was sitting at the elevators waiting on us to get in and said to us as we were getting on the elevator "It better not get loud." I literally felt as if I was being stalked by a security guard the ENTIRE time I stayed at this place. It was the absolute most awkward situation I have ever been but in on a vacation and quite frankly ridiculous. Something should be said and we had no idea who to say anything to because he was there every night and in the day we never saw a guard.
The condo was very nice and exactly what we were looking for, kitchen had everything you could think of. Only bad thing is the wifi never worked. Our problems were with the property. Shortly after we arrived at our condo an alarm began going off but it didn't sound like your average fire alarm. It would go off for maybe one minute and then stop, maybe 2 minutes, maybe 10 minutes later it would go off again but sound different each time. It would go off for maybe 30 seconds at a time but then again maybe 5 minutes. It was never consistent and never the same noise. We walked outside to see if we could hear it anywhere else and we never did. We called the reality office and they said they would call the property security to come check it out. Property security called me and said that it was to late for maintenance to come (6:30pm on a Thursday) and that nothing could be done until the next day. When I asked if he expected us to sleep with an alarm randomly going off all night he told me that there was nothing he could do that they weren't coming if I had a problem with that to call the reality office back. I called the reality office and they said they would call security back and see what they could do. Security then calls me again and ask "have you even thought to step outside and see if the building was on fire considering it was an alarm" I told him I had then he responded "well if you had you would have saw the fire truck outside" I told him that when I looked there was no fire truck there and I hung up on him. I was so confused how he could try to shame me as if I was an idiot when I had talked to him not 5 minutes before and he had no idea what the alarm even was! The reality office called me back and I let them know the situation that had happened. The next day (friday) my group (all women) were leaving the condo around (9:00 pm) when the security guard runs after our vehicle flagging us down. We stop our car and he asks us where we were going. We let him know that we were going eat and to one of the arcades. He then says "It doesn't even matter where your going but quite time is at 10:00 pm and that we better not get rowdy after then." he then continues to let us know he will give us one chance and he will shine a flashlight at us if he hears a peep from us. If that didn't work he would make his way up to our room and we didn't want that to happen. This is all coming for absolutely NO WHERE, we have done absolutely nothing....
