Ocean Valley Villa - Serene, Heavenly, Paradise With Ocean Views From Every Room

Bedrooms 3
Space 232 m²
Property type house
Minimum Stay 7 - 8 nights

About the property

Expansive Ocean Views, Private, Spacious, 3 Bdrm, 2 Bath, 3 Lanais, on 2 Floors

Relax and repose in your own private paradise at the end of the Albert Road cul de sac with a beautiful niche to an expansive ocean valley view of the blue Pacific disappearing over the vast horizon before you. Watch whales splash as swells roll in and occasional sailboats pass in the distance. The valley below is lush with tropical vevgetation and flowers, tempting you for a stroll to the stream below.

On the upper floor, the Great Room, Kitchen and Master Suite open to the wide rear lanai tempting you to lounge and gaze out to deep blue ocean views and reflect 'who cares....I am indulging in a little serene sanity for the moment.....the world will await my return...?’

The lower floor is wrapped with two ocean view lanais from the two bedrooms and one bathroom. A fourth bonus room serves as a combination laundry room and backup bedroom with ocean views and two twin beds. One end of the bonus room has the washer and dryer. It does not have a bureau or closet, nor a door, as it's at the end of the hall. Guests have repeatedly found it great as a backup bedroom for the kids or guests wanting an extra room to sleep in. Although, it does not provide the privacy a couple may want.

Sleeping areas offer privacy, while the open Lanais and Great Room offer comfortable, relaxed space to gather and 'talk story'. The large private Lanais make for yoga and lounging in paradise.

After many years as a vacation rental, the property was recently bought, and upgraded with new furnishings and several months of endless repairs and improvements. The kitchen was totally renovated with new cabinets, countertops and appliances. And the upgrades continue between bookings, as we love to implement our guests suggestions and dreams...

The cleaning team keeps it exceptionally clean and comfortable, with a casual feel to welcome guests at an exceptionally low rate for a Villa enjoying such amazing ocean views. Guests repeatedly text us upon arrival...'the Villa exceeded our expectations'.

The kitchen has extensive countertops, gas cooktop, blender, fresh juice juicer, citrus juicer, and many utensils for the serious cook. A gas BBQ is on the upper lanai, just off the Great Room, along with a 2nd casual outdoor dining table. The food pantry typically stocks an assortment of condiments and essentials. You only need to stop at Costco near the airport to stock food. Guests arriving on the day (Saturday) of the local Farmer’s Market often receive a basket of local fruits and veggies.

There is Wifi thru out the Villa, a large 70" LCD TV in the Great Room, a 55" in the Master Ensuite and a 42" in a Master Bedroom.

Essential beach gear is neatly organized in the garage, including 10 beach chairs, a sunbrella for shade, coolers, snorkeling gear, boogie boards, children’s beach toys etc.

Six bikes hang in the garage for pedaling around Princeville.

Complimentary mid-stay cleaning required for 10 day stays or longer.

All the essentials are provided for a relaxing stay and outdoor gear to enjoy the tropical paradise. We are here to spoil you with an abundance of Aloha....

Great views, comfortable bed, clean house

  • 5 of 5

We loved this place. Great views from everywhere and clean house. Kitchen is fully loaded with all the gadgets. Lots of board games too. We enjoyed spending time in the house and also in the patio. We were only 2 adults, one 3 yr and one 10 months. So hardly went downstairs. The house is big enough for 6 adults, 2-3 kids

Pros: great views from every corner and rooms

Comfortable bed, garage has beach needs: surfing board, umbrella, chairs etc. Beach towels are also available. Just hands down one of the best places we stayed. We enjoyed in and out all the times.

Cons: There are little bit of tropical bugs, but they are in all places I stayed before in kauai. The house is not air conditioned, but ceiling fans availables in every room , plus some additional fans are placed everywhere if any need for use. I get the fact of not having the house air conditioned in a place like this where you are so close to nature.

A beautiful home!

  • 5 of 5

We stayed at four different homes during our four week stay in HI. We all agreed this was our favorite despite this was the only one that wasn't in walking distance to a beach. (There was one but hard to find and not easy to access.) The view was absolutely amazing. The house was clean, spacious and appointed like a real home. We thought it was 3 or so yrs old but if I recall, Andrew said closer to 12 yrs with a recent kitchen reno. We didn't experience any bugs (ok, we saw 1 or 2 Geikos but we saw many more and other bugs in two others, which didn't bother us as it's island living, but nice not to worry about it). Wonderful breeze kept us comfortable in late July. Also, if we did this trip again, I'd suggest more time on the N. shore and less on the S. (at least in the summer months). Much more beautiful in this area, more personality and many more beach options. Yes, more rain but didn't really impact our vacation. Beautiful sunsets and rainbows!

It's a beautiful home and wonderful management.

  • 5 of 5

The home is just like the pictures. Having the garage full of beach chairs, snorkels and boards was perfect. The only thing this Texas family had to get used to was no ac. The days and nights are cool and pleasant so ac was not needed.

A perfect Hawaiian home away from home!

  • 5 of 5

This home and it's surroundings are absolutely beautiful! We had 2 families of 3 each and had plenty of privacy and everything we could need. There were extra fans and we were always comfortable. We cooked in almost every night and ate on the beautiful Lanai. Do not hesitate to book this property if you want stunning views, top of the line appliances, comfortable beds and everything you need for your family fun! Snorkel gear, bikes, beach towels, water shoes, beach chairs are all provided. There is a Keurig style coffee maker as well as regular coffee pot, rice cooker, ice cream maker, gas grill and more. This is the cleanest house I have ever rented with beautiful furnishings and decor. Mahalo for letting us stay in your wonderful Villa!

Great Location, Nice Size House...But Could Improve a Few Things

  • 3 of 5

We stayed in the villa in May of 2017. The family area and dining area along with the master bedroom and deck are fantastic. The pictures represent that part of the house very well. The location is awesome if you enjoy golf or Hanalei Bay. It's also just down the street from Queen's Bath, so definitely take advantage. This house also has tons of fun equipment that you won't have to rent like bikes, boogie boards, snorkeling, beach chairs, etc. We loved not having to rent that stuff!

I gave the house 3 stars for 4 reasons:

- In the basement or (1st floor) lights were out in the laundry bed area and one of the 2 bedrooms. The day we arrived we told Andrew about the lights and they were never fixed.

- Both bathrooms had extensive amounts of mold that needed to be cleaned. There were also lot's of cockroaches, spiders, and ants.

- The house does not have AC. We have stayed all over the world in VRBO's and not having AC is very typical of most beach houses but this is not directly on the water. Maybe we stayed during a heat wave but it made cooling down very difficult. We were excited to get in our cars to go to the beach just to feel the AC.

- Don't go in the back yard. We went in the backyard to look around twice. Each time within minutes the neighbors came and told us it was their garden and we should NOT let kids back there. It wasn't a big deal but it would be nice to have signs posted so we knew what not to disturb and it was a little creepy that they knew exactly when we went in the backyard.

Other than those things the house was great.

Owner's Response: We are very happy you enjoyed the house and the well stocked beach accessories. We are sorry to hear your stay was anything less than 5 star. The maintenance team typically makes repairs the same day we hear from guests.  We are sorry the light request went unheard, and was not addressed in our usual prompt manner. We encourage guests to not hesitate to text any issues possibly mentioned, but did not get promptly addressed. We are here to make your stay feel like a real treat during your entire stay. The clean team uses bleach in the bathrooms after each check out. If excess plant based skin oils are used, mold can develop in the shower stall, especially if windows are not open for the trade winds to blow thru. A free mid-stay bathroom cleaning is offered for 10-14 day or longer stays to ensure shower cleanliness. Who wants to clean a shower while visiting paradise? We cannot overstate the need to keep all doors and window screens closed after entering and leaving the house. Lush vegetation comes right up to the house, it is essential that all entries be closed at all times. By chance a site visit was arranged via text for the architect to confirm pending renovation measurements and a sliding screen door was found  open during the visit. Insects love open passage ways in the tropics. Eco-Smart Pest Control is left under the kitchen sink for guests. It’s non-toxic effective control for the sporadic pest that can get in should one forget to close a door or window or for those that simply make their way in at the same time as the guests do. The villa catches trade winds blowing down the street into the cul-de-sac. The other side of the Villa catches sea breezes coming up the valley.. Either way, air usually flows thru the villa. There are ceiling fans in each room, plus oscillating floor fans in each bedroom for the couple of times in the year trades are few. The rear property line is separated on one side by the neighbor’s row of banana trees, the other side is separated by palms and thick vegetation. This is typical throughout Princeville. Fences & signs are not allowed in Princeville per the HOA rules, this encourages aloha and friendliness between neighbors without walls. The Ocean Valley Villa team strives to ensure a 5 star stay and is committed to guests enjoying a memorable treat in paradise….if the unexpected happens, we Truly apologize and strive to do our best to correct mishaps or disappointments. Aloha and Hui Hoa!

Excellent location beautiful view. Comfortable living areas. 14 days of paradise.

  • 5 of 5

Three couples enjoyed two weeks at this property. The property has an expansive view and although it's in a neighborhood you feel like you have the ocean to yourself from the dining and living rooms and comfortable out door deck. Close to amazing beaches. Hanelai for swimming and Tunnels beach for snorkeling. We would return to this property over and over. You will not be disappointed
