BEACHFRONT Condo - $149 SPECIAL - Quiet, Sandy Beach - Remodeled - OCEANFRONT

25 Reviews
Bedrooms 1
Property type condo
Minimum Stay 3 - 5 nights

Photos and Description of this Hauula holiday condo

1 Bedroom(King) + Queen Murphy Bed, Bath with Tub & Shower, Free Wifi & Parking

Our second condo, 'Our Ocean Blue Piece Of Paradise' is an BEACHFRONT condo with an unobstructed view of a beautiful, quiet, sandy beach that is just a few feet away. It's set up very similar to our other condo, listing #399212. We're pretty proud of how much our guests enjoy their stay, and have had several guests come back more than once.

This new condo is on the second floor. There is an elevator if you want, but it does have stairs that go right to it that you can use if your don't want to mess with waiting for the elevator.

Our beach is reef protected, meaning the waves break offshore. So the ones coming in to the beach are calm. Making our part of the ocean good for swimming, snorkeling, kayaking, paddle-boarding, sailing, and fishing. It's especially good for small children.

We just purchased it 1-1/2 years ago and spent a month doing some remodeling and refurnishing. We, of course, ended up doing way more than we had planned on. We decided to replace all the appliances. We have a new SS Whirlpool refrigerator, dishwasher, and cooktop oven. Along with a new GE full size washer and dryer. We just posted pictures of it. This year we put a new backsplash in the kitchen that actually reflects the image of the ocean in it. We hope you like how everything turned out. We love how the ocean has different shades of blue and green in it. So we decided to use the ocean blue colors as our theme.

We want you to enjoy our vacation home, and come to love it as we do. Our goal is to have you walk in, take one look at the gorgeous ocean view, feel the Trade Winds blowing through, listen to the waves... and immediately relax & let all your stress start melting away. Close your eyes and imagine it now.... doesn't it sound wonderful?

We enjoy beautiful sunrises in the morning and moon rises at night. We have seen big Sea Turtles sleeping on the beach in the morning, and Whales spouting and breaching on the ocean(from November to April). We like to sit on the patio and watch the waves break on the reef, sometimes we even sleep on the Murphy bed in the living room just so the waves can lull us to sleep. Then, if we leave the curtains open a little, we can wake up to a gorgeous sunrise streaming in through the lanai window. It is truly our idea of Paradise! Hopefully, it will become yours, too!

Our beach is very quiet and you will have it practically all to yourself, because there is no public beach access. The pool area is also just for residents, you need a key FOB to enter (which helps to make it safer for kids).

You'll be happy to know there is no lock box to mess with. We are one of the few owners who employ an agent to welcome our guests personally. She will show you where everything is, how to use it, and be your on-island contact person while you are here to help with any questions you may have.

You will have ''No Worries'' as the locals say...only to decide if you are going to spend the day on the beautiful beach outside your lanai or go for a scenic drive along the coast to do some sightseeing.

We have a true 1-bedroom (not the small sleeping alcove some call a bedroom). We also have lots of dresser, closet, and cabinet space, so you should be able to empty your suitcases and make yourself at home. We know some of you like to fall asleep listening to the TV, so we have one in the bedroom and one in the living room. We have tried to stock our vacation home with all the things we enjoy when we are traveling.

One of my favorite things is the Murphy Bed. You will have the choice to sleep in the bedroom on the new king size bed, or in the front room listening to the waves all night from the new queen size Murphy Bed. We've also purchased new acacia wood rattan furniture, linens, dishes & silverware, cookware, beach towels & mats, beach chairs, snorkel gear, boogie boards, coolers, binoculars... just about everything!! ;)

There is almost always a nice breeze blowing thru the condo due to the trade winds, but for those who like a fan...we have 2 ceiling fans with remotes and a pedestal fan. We have a good assortment of books & DVDs for all ages. We have also prepared a binder showing nearby grocery stores, churches, restaurants, and doctor; along with sightseeing tips, coupon books, and shopping suggestions.

We purchased our first condo, ''Our Piece Of Paradise'' in March of 2011 and have been renting it out as a vacation rental ever since. But there are times when we get inquiries saying they love the look of our condo and our reviews, but their dates aren't open, 'do we by any chance have another condo'! Or, times when we want to come ourselves, and our condo is already booked. So we have been looking for another one. We like this area so much, we purchased this condo in the same building.

We've hired the best cleaning person in the building so our guests can be assured the condo will be freshly cleaned and ready for you to enjoy. For those of you who like some added piece of mind, there is a security guard on duty when our building maintenance staff is off duty.

About Chris and Al Livingston

Al asked me one day what my favorite place of all was to go on vacation. I didn't hesitate for a minute, I said 'if I could afford it, I would go to Hawaii every year'. So he surprised me with a trip for my birthday. He had never been there before and he came to love it as much as I did. We had been engaged for over 3 years and just didn't have time to plan a wedding, or know where to do it since our families where spread out across the country. So one morning, not to long before we were supposed to go home, he surprised me with a trip to get a marriage license... and we were married at 'Sunset on the Beach' two days later! Needless to say....I have come to LOVE his surprises!! ;)

Chris and Al Livingston purchased this condo in 2014

Why Chris and Al Livingston chose North Shore Oahu

Since then, it was always a dream of ours to own our own 'Piece Of Paradise'. But we wanted to be away from all the traffic and congestion of Honolulu. Our favorite part of the island was the North Shore area, so we started looking there. We fell in love with our first condo as soon as we walked in and looked thru see the ocean right out the lanai! And now we are fortunate enough to be able to purchase this second condo. Making us better able to accommodate guests who are looking for more than one condo.

What makes this condo unique

We would love to share 'Our Other Piece Of Paradise' with you, so you can have the same wonderful experience in Paradise that we do. We especially love it when we have couples stay who are getting married or honeymooning on the brings back some great memories! But we also really enjoy making any occasion you have...even more special!! Just like one of our favorite sayings, 'What happens in Hawaii... stays with you forever'!! :)

Wonderful spot

  • 5 of 5

Wonderful place. Well appointed, clean. Right on the ocean. The Murphy bed was very comfortable. It was a little noisy at times so if you're looking for total silence this isn't your place. But it's otherwise a perfect place.

Great location

  • 5 of 5

Very well-maintained condo with lots of amenities (snorkeling gear, boogie boards, beach towels, sun umbrella, beach chairs, laundry supplies, cooking gear, etc.) -- the owners have clearly put a lot of time and effort into outfitting the place. Easy drive to the North Shore, the Polynesian Cultural Center, and Honolulu. We particularly enjoyed the plate lunches at 2 Bald Guys, which is inside Kaya's, a little Mom & Pop shop within walking distance. My kids enjoyed the kayak that we rented from the place on the property, and I enjoyed the masseuse listed in the (extensive) binder of things to see and do. Don't expect A/C (it is Hawaii, after all), but the sea breeze and fans kept it very comfortable most of the time. One of our favorite things to do was to have meals ton the lanai.

Great property in a great location

  • 5 of 5

We booked Chris and Al’s Ocean Blue Piece of Paradise for 9 days in December. The last three days were supposed to be the holiday season rates. Chris generously gave us those days as regular rates. When we arrived at the vocational rental, Chris and Al happened to have their vacation on the island too. It’s our pleasure to meet with both of them and had several great conversations with them. They are really nice people.

The vacation rental is located on north shore which is about 40 mins drive from the airport. The building is somewhat old from the outside. However, the management did good job to keep it clean and functional. There is a gym in the first floor facing the ocean and a pool in the yard.

The vocational rental is located at the south end of second floor. The property does close the pool however there are not a lot of people there so it is fairly quiet. The one bedroom is spacious for two people. The bed is very comfortable. There is also a murphy bed in the living room. We used them both. Some people complained about the road noise when sleeping at the bedroom but it didn’t bother me when I was there. The condo is very clean with everything you need, snorkeling gear, beach towel, beach chairs, etc. The condo has cable TV in living room and bedroom. I turned on a few times to watch some football game.

The condo is just a few steps away from the mile long sand beach. Most of the time, you own the whole beach. The ocean is mild and peaceful because reefs block big waves about a mile away from the beach. The water is about 4~5 feet deep even you are 200 yards into the ocean. This is not the best snorkeling place but I do see some fishes and even a sea turtle.

Overall, it is a very great experience. I feel relaxed and re-energized.

Awesome place to stay! Slept 4 adults easily!

  • 5 of 5

Everything was clean and in good repair! Chris snd Al greeted us even though they had just flown in their selves! It was wonderful to hear the ocean and walk across the lawn to explore the beach every morning! Great location! We enjoyed it more than the hotel in Waikiki! Lots to do close by! My grown kids enjoyed the snorkeling off the beach! The nut farm 10 minutes down the road has a great show for $20.00, so much to do close by!! The condo was very well stocked! Spices, condiments, laundry items and bathroom needs! You won't be disappointed!

Great Location. Great Property. Great hosts.

  • 5 of 5

First of all, this is the best provisioned condo we have ever stayed in. Beach towels, beach chairs, snorkel gear, spices, utensils, you name it.

Secondly, we were fortunate enough to meet the owners and they were sweethearts. Very friendly and helpful.

Then the property manager was also super responsive when we had a minor cable TV glitch. (BTW, they have full cable and a DVR)

Finally, we loved the location. This is a very laid back part of Oahu, which we liked. The beach is great and the sunrises are wonderful. Just be aware you will hear some road noise if you sleep in the bedroom with the windows open. As in most of Hawaii, there is no air conditioning. The murphy bed in the main room was great though. No traffic noise; only the ocean.

Perfect in Every Way!

  • 5 of 5

This unit was absolutely perfect for our family of three on our first trip to Hawaii! It was beautiful, organized, and exceptionally clean. I felt that Chris and Al took care of this property the way I would take care of my own. We were fortunate enough to meet Chris and Al during our stay and their warmth and generosity are reflected in the care of the unit. My husband and I loved having the option of putting our 1 year old to sleep in the bedroom while we were able to make dinner and enjoy cocktails on the lanai without waking him. The Murphy bed in the living room was very comfortable and there's nothing better than hearing the ocean as you fall asleep and wake up. The beach and pool are both beautiful. You REALLY are right on the water! No trick photography here. The location is great for people looking to travel around the island because it's centrally located. We felt so lucky to have found a quiet, peaceful one bedroom with a full kitchen and laundry ON the beach WITH a pool at this price! We will definitely stay here on our next trip to Hawaii!
