Updated 1930's village bungalow sits in the heart of historic Encinitas, hidden in a jungle of 30 year old palms and lush tropical landscape - what a surprise! It's complete with stone patios, bamboo pavilion, koi pond with waterfalls, fountains, and fire pit. The house offers upscale comfort yet easy, fun vacation living space - just 4 blocks to beaches and steps away from shopping, award winning restaurants, and night life.

The house boasts hardwood floors throughout, a chef's kitchen with stainless steel appliances, 2 ovens, pot filler over stove, granite counters, a 20 bottle wine cooler, eat-at island, and separate dining area. Catered meals and event planning can be arranged and provided by the owner as an added service.

The 2 bedrooms provide King and Queen beds supplied with quality linens. Each bedroom opens to a patio by way of wooden french or sliding doors; each has a ceiling fan, flat screen TV, and ample closet space.

There is plenty of convenience with a laundry area, two baths - one with an outdoor shower equipped with both hot and cold water, making for easy post beach cleanup. All linen is included along with a stack of beach towels.

The living area is cozy and furnished with comfortable seating including a full size pull out sofa bed, 2 chairs, an ottoman and coffee table; SONOS wireless audio, free WiFi, a flat screen TV with cable and AppleTV.

Front stone patio is hidden in lush landscape encircled with copper tiki torches, small fountain; furnished with teak dining table and 4 chairs and 2 wicker lounge chairs.

Back stone patio includes a koi pond with 3 pools & waterfalls, lush landscape, a bamboo pavilion, (enjoy morning yoga, happy hour cheer or even a campout experience); outdoor shower, gas grill, gas patio heater, gas fire pit, teak dining table and chairs, and cushioned teak lounge furniture.

Outdoor storage closet is stocked with surf & skim boards, beach chairs, umbrellas, sand toys, and 4 bicycles. Parking includes a one car driveway, exclusive to the house, and street parking. An artist's workshop with its own back alley entrance sits on the south side of the property and is occasionally used by owners.

The location of the house is prime as it sits in the heart of the village. Take a stroll through town, watch a movie at the historic La Paloma Theater, or sip coffee and people watch at an open-air cafe. "D Street Beach" is a wonderful place to watch sun sets from its benches above. It's known for its beach break, has an accessible stairway to the sand, and is just 4 blocks from the house. One more block north brings you to family friendly Moonlight Beach, which has a newly remodeled playground, sand volleyball courts, fire pits, and food concessions.

A few blocks south of the property you'll find yourself returning to the iconic Swami's Beach and gardens which offer breath taking ocean views, local music on its lawn, and a steep stairway down to its beaches and tide pools. It's known for its reef break and long rides - some of the best surfing in California!

Walk or bike the entire village and experience all the shopping and entertainment it offers. Never get in your car! Book & gift stores, trendy clothing shops, surfboard shops, home goods & hardware, outdoor restaurants, cafes, line historic Coast HWY 101, which runs straight through the center of town.

Whale watching, deep sea fishing excursions, kayaking, and surf lessons can all be arranged with local crew and organizations. A list of recommendations is included in the Welcome Packet upon your arrival.

The train depot, another iconic landmark, is a short walk away offering easy excursions to San Diego or Los Angeles and beach towns in between. Some tourist attraction pamphlets are provided in the house and train schedules are found on The Coaster and Amtrak websites.

Swim, board, boat, walk, bike, or train - there's never a need to get in your car on this vacation!

Favorite Southern California spot!

This is the perfect getaway space for couples, friends, or families. Its location is great, so close to the beach, shops, and restaurants. We recently went on a resort vacation, but found ourselves coming back again to Tamara's house and loving it so much more than a resort! It's definitely on our favorites list! Tamara is easy to get in touch with if any questions come up during your stay and responds very quickly.

Wonderful place.

The house was welcoming from the start. Plenty of lounging area in the front and back porch aeea. Nice appliances and televisions. The back porch area has room for 10-12 people to enjoy the koi pool and shaded area.

The beds were very comfortable and a new bathroom has recently been added. Restaurants and nightlife are within walking distance.

We loved our 4 days and would return.

My family and I recently stayed here and had a fabulous time! Reviews were absolutely true! Perfect location to main Encinitas strip, close proximity to beach & perfect running location to meditation gardens for a cool down! We will definitely book again!

Fabulous rental!

We throughly enjoyed our stay in Encinitas at the Beach Village Bungalow. The house is exceptionally well appointed with everything you need for an easy stay. The adult cruiser bikes are a treat and were great for going to the beach, heading out for a surf or dinner out without using the car.

The house was more than comfortable and there wasn't anything we wished was different. Even the koi fish were welcoming and friendly! We will definitely be back.

Perfect beach location!

We loved our stay here and are already booked for a second visit. It's a little oasis and the enclosed yard makes it feel like a resort. Tamara was great and responded very quickly when we had questions during our stay. Everything was very clean and cozy.
