Perfect place to stay for a perfect getaway!

  • 5 of 5

Our stay in Portland at the apt was perfect! The owners Sue and Barry were so warm and thoughtful- thinking of any and everything to make our stay easy and fun! The fresh bouquet of flowers being a nice extra touch. They greeted us and gave us a treasure trove of useful information -such as different walkable restaurants-along with suggested sights to see. The apt easily accommodates two people and we were there for a week. The bedroom is in the back of the house so it's nice and quiet, the kitchen is nice and well lit with natural light. The outdoor sitting area was perfect after a day of sightseeing/ eating- just chill with a book or glass of wine before dinner. (Or perhaps you are lucky enough to have a visitor-Sassy- the very friendly beautiful cat.) Also important was the feeling of the neighborhood being very safe for walking- especially at night after having dinner, etc. at the local restaurants. If we are fortunate and get back to the area- this is the first place we would check on to see their availability. A better place in Portland cannot be found!

Our wonderful vacation experience in Portland

  • 5 of 5

My wife and I really enjoyed our time in Portland. The apartment is in a fantastic location right in the downtown arts district very close and walkable to everything. Sue and Barry are great hosts and they provided alot of great suggestions for things to see and do and recommended some great restaurants. The living room, kitchen, bedroom and bathroom were spacious, very clean and well stocked. Portland is a wonderful small city with lots of fun things to do in and around the city. We covered alot of ground and did many things during our stay. Many thanks to Sue and Barry for providing such a fantastic apartment and base for our vacation in Maine. We would highly recommend staying at this apartment and look forward to coming back again.

Great Portland Location

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I stayed at Sue and Barry's one bedroom apartment for 8 days. It was great for the two of us with plenty of room. When you walk in you have a living room, which you can walk through to a kitchen and off to the side is the bathroom and then at the back there is a bedroom. It might have been the ocean air, but we slept great here. The apartment was clean and had everything we needed. Sue and Barry were also super friendly and gave us a ton of ideas of where to eat and where to go in Maine. We are from Minnesota, so this trip to Maine was to eat a lot of seafood, which we did. We travelled up to Camden, which had some fun shops. We went to Acadia National Park, which is a must see along with Bar Harbor. We went to Cape Elizabeth and drove along the southern coast of Maine with lots of nice beaches. In Portland, besides eating, shopping and walking, we took a lighthouse tour on a ferry, which I liked and did the trolley tour of the city. It was really an awesome time and our apartment was great and in walking distance to everything we needed on the days we stayed in Portland. Thanks Sue and Barry for being great hosts and giving us ideas of where to eat.

Great place to stay in Portland!!!

  • 5 of 5

Loved staying at this property for 3 nights in Portland. Sue and Barry were extremely welcoming and provided great suggestions for things to do and restaurants in the area. They even provided a map of the top attractions.

The apartment is in a perfect location, in walking distance of everything from restaurants to shops. The apartment is much larger than we expected with a full living room, huge closets, a full kitchen with a table, bathroom and bedroom. It has wifi and came with a parking spot.

We really enjoyed our time in Portland and would definitely suggest this property to anyone else visiting!
