Location, location, location! After living in the country, when our children left home, we downsized and moved into the city. We fell in love with the charm of our Victorian building and being in downtown Portland where everything is convenient and exciting!
Because we live on the premises, we are committed to providing a wonderful vacation experience for our guests. We honor your privacy, but are available with helpful hints and suggestions.
We have stayed in many VRBOs in the US and Europe, and this was the most fun. Our hosts, Barry & Sue, made it a special trip. We arrived at 1 am, and the key was in the mailbox; there were chocolates and coffee waiting for the next day - and fresh flowers. The place is small, but offers everything you could want. The towels were soft, the sheets smelled wonderful, the water was hot! This was a great place to visit Portland - even though it was 30 degrees and windy. I would recommend this studio apartment to any couple wanting a great place to stay; congenial hosts; and comfort .
We truly enjoyed this studio apartment--in many ways: nice Victorian touches mixed with stylish modern amenities; very warm & generous hospitality; immaculately kept. The location is perfect for walking to our favorite restaurants, museums/galleries, shops; the street is quiet, which is a bonus. The owners are totally accessible & very welcoming! We recommend this apartment--& will tell our friends!
Back for a visit to the wonderful city of Portland. Sue and Barry are great hosts and the apartments they offer are clean, modern and comfortable. We'll be back!

Sue and Barry are the perfect hosts and provided us the perfect opportunity to enjoy a lot of Portland in the three short days we had available. The apartment is a treat, well stocked, comfy bed, great shower and so well located for walking everywhere.
We had the dining reputation of Portland in our sights and completed the trifecta of Scales, Fore Street and Street & CO on our three nights. Eventide for happy hour and oysters is great as well. Hot Suppa for breakfast is a treat.
Sue and Barry are the best and if they need more relatives, we are available for adoption. Thanks to you both!
Sue and Barry are the best -- extremely gracious and more than willing to offer suggestions for local restaurants and theaters. My studio was emaculate and I loved the Bay window facing east and the morning sun. Their location is within walking distance to everything -- no need for a car. It was a wonderful stay and I will definitely revisit.
We enjoyed our stay so much! Barry was very helpful & always available to answer any questions. We were within walking distance of many good restaurants & the Portland art museum. It was just a short drive to the old port. Very quiet neighborhood. The galley kitchen was well equipped if we had wanted to eat in. Definitely recommend this as a great place to stay & Portland is a fun place to visit.
