About Steven Young

Architect with a slight obsession for historic homes.

Steven Young purchased this house in 2010

Why Steven Young chose Mystic

We bought this home as our dream home in downtown Mystic. The water views are so relaxing with the sailboats of the Seaport all day long. Hear the drawbridge horn yet you are far enough away from the Main Street traffic. You can walk to nearly EVERYTHING from this location. We love to sit on the front steps with our coffees and watch the runners & cyclists go by.

What makes this house unique

Natural light galore. Very high ceilings. Water views from most rooms.

This lovely restored, historical home is in the perfect location to enjoy Mystic!

  • 5 of 5

We loved being within walking distance to the many wonderful restaurants and darling shops, as well as being conveniently located to Old Mystic, and nearby Noank and Groton. It was a perfect way to celebrate Thanksgiving, visiting the Cider Mill, participating in the Turkey Trot and watching the holiday boat parade! This nicely restored historical home was great for our family of four, with two bedrooms and an adjoining Jack and Jill bath for our adult daughters and a separate master bedroom with an ensuite bath for my husband and me upstairs. The lower level has a sunny and cheerful kitchen area with a pretty view of the river, a small dining area, a den with a TV, powder room, and a living area/nook in the front of the home, allowing for both separate and together space. We hope to return!

Awesome in every way

  • 5 of 5

The location, cleanliness, spaciousness, amenities were better than described. The host was available by text and phone, the instructions were clear. I only wish I had had more time to enjoy the scenery and the town and that amazing kitchen! I was at a conference and my husband got to enjoy the house! I would go back in a heartbeat.

Loved It!

  • 5 of 5

This house is in a great location. Quiet but an easy walk to town along the river and walking distance to the seaport if you like to walk.

The house itself is a great mix of keeping original details and a modern renovation. Great kitchen overlooking the river if you love to cook with a view.

Great fenced in yard for the dogs, they had a blast. And a view of the river from the yard. Very relaxing.

We'll be back for sure.

Perfect House, Perfect Location

  • 5 of 5

We stayed here the weekend of our son's wedding in Mystic. It was great for our family to be together for the big day. The windows are big and the house is very light. The bedrooms are spacious with comfortable beds. Bathrooms have been updated beautifully. The location by the port can't be beat, and it was wonderful to wake up to the view each day. It's a really charming house, nicely updated, contemporary furnishings, and the yard is fabulous. The walk to town is about 5 minutes, and it's close to everything. Should we need a house to rent in Mystic again, I will definitely go for this one. I highly recommend this property.
