Overview

Photos and Description of this Les Archives holiday apartment

2 bedrooms with queen size beds 2 Baths With Private Terrace, Prestige Location

This beautiful, spacious high-end apartment has the ambiance of art déco Paris with the best of comfort and conveniences. A private terrace and a view of gardens from the bedrooms enhance the apartment’s tasteful decor and make it an ideal base for your Paris holiday.

On the apartment’s flowered terrace, a rarity in Paris, guests enjoy alfresco dining, a sunny breakfast, or a relaxing cocktail after a day of exploring and shopping in town. Even more unusual in the city center: the two bedrooms overlook a quiet garden ensuring a silent, peaceful night.

Here you are only steps away from the celebrated Place des Vosges, the Picasso and the Carnavalet museums as well the city’s latest mecca for fashionable shopping: the chic boutiques of the Marais. A 15 to 20 minute walk brings you to the Seine, Ile Saint Louis and Notre Dame.

Although the Marais is now the trendiest area of Paris, it keeps its historic character with numerous restaurants, sidewalk cafés, art galleries and everyday shopping. The Marais is Paris at its most parisian, where no one feels a stranger.

In fact, from here, a walk in any direction reveals the city’s enduring charm. You are five minutes away from the metro stop, Chemin Vert, and excellent bus service to the whole of Paris. A short stroll through the Place des Vosges brings you to metro St. Paul with a direct line to the Louvre, Concorde, and the Champs Elysées.

In a neighbourhood bustling with life the 100 square meter apartment is on a quiet street in a modern building protected by access and elevator codes plus a full time guardian.

The unanimous 5-star reviews our guests have posted make us confident your stay here in Paris will be equally memorable.

Guestbook comments from the owner

“We had a splendid week staying in this apartment which we were lucky enough to hear about via a friend. It was in a wonderful position, very spacious, and we certainly enjoyed the terrace at every moment we could. Having a terrace is not a common finding in Paris and it was lovely to be able to take breakfast outside and enjoy the garden. We would highly recommend this apartment to those looking for a very central position, comfortable spacious apartment, with such a lovely terasse!

Stylish Oasis in the Heart of Le Marais

  • 5 of 5

A large, character filled apartment with a charming terrace. Every need is catered for from a perfectly equipt kitchen, comfortable beds with quality linen to great property instructions and guide books galore. Spotlessly clean, good water pressure and plenty of comfy seating. Security is great and the streetscape delightful. A great place to stay to really feel like a local. "Thank You" Barbara for making our stay faultless.

Exceptional apartment in excellent location

  • 5 of 5

I have rented many beautiful apartments in Paris over the years but this one stands out as the very best.

The apartment is even better in reality than in the photos.

The greeting by the owner herself is excellent. This apartment has everything you need, and more, for a most comfortable stay.

It is an entirely peaceful oasis in the heart of Paris. The garden patio is an added bonus and makes the apartment feel even bigger than it is.

The leafy green views out to quiet area from both bedrooms means you can happily and safely sleep with your windows open.

There is a good supermarket and also a health food shop within a minutes walk from the apartment.

We would love to stay here every time we return to Paris.

We were a party of 3 adults and we all agree.

Let Petit Italien and Le Petit Marché became our favorite go to restaurants , both very short walks from apartment. Café des Musées is also very good and very close.

Thank you,Barbara, for your great attention to detail and for the charming way in which you made our stay so memorable.

A lovely apartment in a great area

  • 5 of 5

We had a fantastic week in this lovely apartment - Barbara and Bill were very welcoming and they have decorated each room very comfortably. We like to cook in so appreciated how well the kitchen was stocked. Metro was close if we needed it but walking everywhere was our favoured mode of transport. Chez Janou just around the corner was an excellent Bistrot for a meal out and the local boulangerie was excellent - the croissants were warm!

Home away from home in the heart of Paris

  • 5 of 5

This home in Marais with it's private terrace was beautiful and a delight to come home to each evening that we stayed. We really appreciated that Barbara met us at the door and gave us a quick tour of the house. The house was wonderfully appointed, clean and spacious enough for a family of four. The terrace was our favorite space for our morning coffee and then again for our evening cocktail. The location was perfect; close to transportation, shopping and restaurants. This apartment is extremely secure and quiet even though it is in a bustling neighborhood. This was the perfect "home base" location to see all the Paris sights. Easy walk to the metro, grocery stores just a few feet away, fabulous shopping, chocolate shops, restaurants and cafes everywhere. From here we easily went to the Louvre, the Picasso Museum, the d'Orsay, the de l'orangerie, the Eiffel Tower, river cruise and a day trip Normandy. Thank you Barbara for sharing your home with us. We have so many wonderful family memories of our time in Paris.

An outstanding oasis to begin and finish your days

  • 5 of 5

We shared the apartment with friends of ours who were celebrating their 25th anniversary with a trip to Paris. This apartment was an excellent choice. For us the highlight was the oasis of an outdoor space where we all gathered for a breakfast of fresh croissants (from the bakery 100 yards down the street), and finished most days with a glass of wine around the patio table. The apartment was tastefully decorated, and Barbara provided tour books for our use while there. The kitchen was well appointed and the coffee drinkers appreciated the one cup coffee maker....Kuerig, Tassimo, one of those (clearly I'm not a coffee drinker). The bedrooms were outstanding....comfortable beds facing out onto a private courtyard, so very quiet, and with shutters so morning light did not interfere with our sleep. It was an excellent spot to head out for the day and experience Paris. A short walk away is Place Des Vosges, and go slightly further and you'll find the Richard Lenoir food market on Thursdays and Sundays (an excellent and affordable place to stock up for the week on fruits, vegetables, pastas, chicken....well, everything a good food market should have), and an open air Art Market on Saturdays. There is a small grocery store about 4 doors down that filled our most basic needs.....we went there rather than the organic store 2 doors down on Barbara's recommendation, and we weren't disappointed. Barbara was a thoughtful and charming host, and her home shows the love she has for her family and the city. We would highly recommend this apartment to anyone looking for a peaceful 2 bedroom oasis in Paris.

Art Deco home with a beautiful patio

  • 5 of 5

My husband, daughter and I really enjoyed our stay in Paris in this lovely apartment. It was centrally located in a very nice area. The home itself was well appointed and well cared for. It is close to Metro and parks and has very good security. Our host was very accommodating and our communication was good throughout the rental process. I would recommend this lovely apartment to anyone who wants a cozy home in the middle of Paris.
