A wonderful vacation home for rent this summer, fall and winter at beautiful, clean Newfound Lake in Bristol, NH, less than 2 hours drive from Boston. Wellington Village is located directly on the Fowler River, which features direct access to the lake via our own, private concrete boat launch right in the back yard. Our home includes:
- 2 very large bedrooms: Master suite with full bath and queen bed, and 2nd bedroom with 1 twin and one full bed, also with it's own full bath (sleeps total of 6 people). There is also a futon available and a 3rd sleeping area in the finished basement with a bull/twin bunk bed and another twin bed.
- Fully applianced kitchen w/ dishwasher, microwave, etc.
- 1/2 bath on main floor.
- Cable TV & wireless internet.
- Washer & dryer
The grounds are beautiful and include a tennis court, playground, basketball hoop, canoe racks and plenty of room to play games. There is ample, free parking for your boat and trailer, and the launch is available for your use as well. You can keep your boat in the water for the entire week; just walk a few feet across the yard from the house and jump in!
Our home is meticulously maintained and all systems are modern. The home is also located just a 3-4 minute walk from Wellington State Park, which features a beautiful beach along the shore of the lake. You can also pull your boat up on shore at the park.
Newfound Lake is one of the most pristine bodies of water in the US. It is 7.5 miles long and up to 2 miles wide. Fishing is spectacular; the state record lake trout was taken from these waters. There are 2 marinas with boat rentals, and water skiing, swimming, sailing and paddle boarding are all popular sports. Jet skis are also allowed on the lake. Winter is spectacular here; Several major ski areas are minutes away, and there are hundreds of miles of snowmobile trails (accessible right from the house), as well as cross-country skiing, skating and ice fishing.
Bristol is close to Laconia/Weirs Beach, Plymouth and the White Mountains. There are loads of hiking and cycling paths and trails just a short walk from your front door. This is truly a wonderful place to vacation.
