Why Silvia Binder chose New Windsor
Our family used to live here before we decided to move our prime residency to Europe. We love this place because it is so peaceful here and the house offers much space to promote creativity. This truly is a little piece of heaven! Due to our extensive travel, it was an ideal place to raise our children while being close to major airports and New York City.
What makes this Chateau / Country House unique
You walk out of the house and stand right in front of the dock leading to the lake. You have an enormous choice of outdoor activities including fishing, boating, skiing, hiking, biking, air sailing, rafting, and horseback riding, . The area is 'artsy' and offers plenty of antique stores nearby. You can enjoy great restaurants only minutes away in Cornwall or on the waterfront of the Hudson Valley.

Was a lakeside home
We checked in, the house was clean, but had that thrift store smell about it. This was a lakeside home but the lake was drained and its full of vegetation so its been a long time since there was a lake there. It shouldn't be advertised as a lakeside home. The shower diverter doesn't work in the basement bathroom. The house needs some maintenance.
We had a nice stay with a lot of room .
Weekend retreat w friends
Spacious and clean.
The photo in the listing is a bit deceiving, as the lake has been drained. The owner shared that with us after we booked the property, and provided us with a discount to compensate.
I believe the photo should be updated to reflect the current environment until the lake is refilled
Thank you Elaine! It is a difficult situation with the lake being drained at this time. Please understand that guests book their even a few years ahead. The lake will be refilled by May of 2020. Therefore, I offer my guests a credit or full return of their deposit if they did an instant booking, where I do not get a chance to explain the current situation before booking our home. I hope this makes better sense to you now. Be well.
Beautiful house with a gorgeous back deck to watch the sunset. Everything you would need in a visit.
wonderful gathering spot for family get together
This was our second time at Silvia’s place. The home is large and can accommodate our extended family.
The pool is a hugh plus with the kids ( big and little).
The property manager was wonderful. Got exterminator in to take care of hornets nest . We had a great family get together.
Great getaway spot
Absolutely beautiful home and neighborhood. Met or exceeded all expectations.
Thank you Debra! It was a pleasure having you as our guests.
We welcome you back anytime.
