About Owner / Property Manager

We moved to Louisville from Colorado in 2006 with a 1.5 year old. Now we have 4 kids and love it here. We love the neighborhood this house is in and Louisville in general. It was quite a change to go from bears being on the back porch in Colorado to riding a bus to work and getting on an elevator to my office. Josh is an actuary (boring math stuff but hopefully not as nerdy as Ben Stiller in Along Came Polly) and Beth works with an organization to place foster children with adult mentors. We have 4 kids (now ages 3, 8, 10, and 12). We love good people, good beer, and good food and Louisville has all three.

Owner / Property Manager purchased this house in 2008

Why Owner / Property Manager chose Louisville

The house is almost 100 years old and has plenty of the original work and detail that makes it so charming. It also has some improvements from when we moved in, like a finished basement and more outdoor space (long story but our chickens burned down our garage and we didn't rebuild it). We like it better with more yard anyway.

What makes this house unique

This house is close to everything that our guests typically want to do. We are within 1-3 miles of Churchill Downs, downtown Louisville, Bardstown road area, the EXPO center, and the Convention Center, not to mention U of L if you want to catch any Cardinals (Go Cards!)sports games while you are here.

Charming pearl in a great city!

  • 5 of 5

This quaint house gives you the impression you are home as soon as you enter! Not just a house but a home. We had plenty of space, plenty of amenities and plenty of charm. The owners were very accommodating with all of our requests. They had suggestions for everything you might want...places to eat, drink, shop and find an adventure. It certainly gave us a great impression of the neighborhood, the city and the people of Louusville. The only thing I would add is....more time to enjoy. If you pick this home you will not regret your decision, its a little pearl.

Super house, spacious

  • 4 of 5

The houses met our expectations, it was clean, the beds were comfortable and the house was spacious. Plenty of room to move around and have multiple people in the kitchen! We could have used more plates, silverware & a table on the deck. Great location, especially for our event. I would definitely recommend to others.

very cozy, great location, clean

  • 4 of 5

We had a great time and thought the location was ideal for all the activities we had planned. There was also plenty of space and beds. It was nice to have the basement to have everyone together as a group and the dinning room table for playing cards and doing breakfast. Also was nice to have plenty of towels, blankets, and dishes.

Thank you. We had a great retreat!
