Great location in Miami

The house was clean and tidy but lacked in equipment and not very well maintained. Various modifications to the house were strange and badly executed. Example would be bedroom door locked off by way of a screw half driven into door frame. Reason being tumble drier etc are behind it in the hallway. Window in kitchen blacked out. Very little itinerary in kitchen area, glasses etc. Itinerary in poor condition. Pots and pans etc. Kitchen tap just dribbled out water due to type of tap fitted. Kettle would not switch off. Leg fell off desk. Leg under bed broken. Door entry lock stopped working and code did not work on arrival. I Refurbished hoover due to being blocked with rubbish and hair around the brush. 2 beach chairs broken, 1 beach umbrella broken. Both could not be used. Various garden lights not working. Porch area light timer broken. Shower not draining away well and flooding bathroom. Dishwasher badly fitted.

Ok. These are all simple cheap repairs etc. The house was in a great location and we liked the rustic style. Cold boxes, beach towels. Great fridge and cooker. Great air con. Great TVs in 3 rooms. BT hifi system was good.

Would have liked some outside seating.

Would book again but would need a lower rate.

Owner's Response: As stated on the welcome email and rental agreement I ask guests to contact me if there are any issues so that they can be taken care off. Regarding this review: The door that has the screw is precisely so that guests do not open the door. It will remain in place. That door is the maintenance access to the cloth washer and dryer (It does not give nor take from the rental experience, its just a closed door). Kitchen has 2 windows, one completely operational and the other is sealed. For personal reasons the window will remain sealed, and for historical preservation the window will not be replaced by a wall. (The sealed window does not give nor take from the rental experience, it just looks like tinted glass). This house is fully equipped with 2 plate settings, water glasses, wine glasses, several drawers full of kitchen utensils, and more. Not sure why this guest would want me to clutter the home. I have supplied more kitchen ware than needed (any reasonable request will be taken into consideration if the guest lets me know during their stay; in fact, I encourage guest to let me know if there is anything that I can do to improve the rental and I will evaluate the recommendation). The water pressure is sufficient and controlled by the City Government of Miami. I will however inspect the faucet for any type of calcification build up although it is new. Miami does have water conservations laws and faucets are regulated. Kettle will be inspected and replaced as needed. Bed center support leg has been fixed. Leg of the desk will be fixed. Not sure why guest felt the necessity to move such a heavy wooden desk. Lock needed to be reprogramed; however, keys are provided to all guests (not an impacting issue). Cleaning the vacuum brush takes 2 minutes. I would have happily taken care of it should I had been notified. Beach chairs and umbrellas are provided as a courtesy. I keep spares since these are items that guests damage frequently. I never charge guests for broken beach chairs or umbrellas and I will replace if notified. Lights do wear out, from time to time and I replace as needed. I have the most well lit houses on the block. Porch timer is NOT damaged nor its a necessity, the light can be turned on manually. Shower drain will be inspected for possible hair clog. Outside sitting was damaged by hurricane Irma and will be replaced. I have the lowest rates in the whole area; hence, why my homes are on top of the web search.

NICE VACATION HOME!!

My family and I loved the comfortable, clean and quiet vacation home. We enjoyed our space and the owner Mr. GABRIEL WAS VERY PROFESSIONAL. My children like the cozy bedroom and I enjoyed the nature palm trees and plants around the house. Everything was setup nicely we loved being near the American Airline Arena, Beach and grocery stores were not far. WE WOULD RECOMMEND FAMILIES TO STAY HERE WHEN IN MIAMI!!!!

Lovely home

Felt like home!

Our family stayed here for 4 nights and thoroughly enjoyed the experience. The property is very well situated in a great, safe location. It is very well presented - clean and with everything we needed for our stay. The kitchen had all modern needs and the bathroom was more luxurious than a hotel stay! Each room equipped with HD TV and a choice of many channels to suit all tastes. The beds were another touch of luxury - we had such great sleep! We would return here again!
