NEW GAME ROOM addition with professional size pool table, ping pong table, air hockey table, Plastic Tip Dart Board, Card Table and TV!

Massanutten Vacation House

Located on a cul-de-sac within the gates of Massanutten Resort, this 3 bedroom, 3 bath house backs up to green space and looks over the house on the opposite side of the street for a beautiful sunrise view of the mountains.

Rock in the rocking chairs on the covered front porch or sit on the back deck and enjoy the peaceful sound of the water running into the water garden topped with lily pads and water lilies (water lilies open or bloom in the morning and close at night, what a sight to see!)

The 5 person Hot Tub is located just off the back deck. The Hot Tub is treated with Baqua Chemicals which are proven to be less irritating to your skin and eyes.

Either grill out on the large 4 burner gas grill or cook in the well equipped kitchen.

Dining Table seats 6 people comfortably with two other card tables and chairs available if needed. (I say if needed because in our family, the men prefer to use the fold out TV Trays instead.) There is also a table located on the back deck just off the kitchen that seats 4.

About Camelot Shuff

OK, the picture is a bit of a lie. It was taken a year or so after we moved here up on the top of the Massanutten where the hiking trails are located. The main difference is we are much older and our daughter is off to college now. My name is Camelot, yes that is my real first name. My mother was inspired by the Kennedy Administration, especially Jacqueline Kennedy. My husband, Sam, grew up in Lynchburg, VA. I met him while at Lynchburg College, which is a little ways from where I was born and bred. Yes in Greenville, South Carolina it is important to add the 'and bred' to that statement. We have been married for 20 years now and are especially proud of our 18 year old daughter who is in college now working on her Biology Degree before she pursues medical school.

Camelot Shuff purchased this house in 2003

Why Camelot Shuff chose Shenandoah Valley

We built this home with a lot of help from my husband's brother, Eddie. I designed the house and my husband who we dubbed 'CAULKMAN' not only built but in his truly detail oriented way, made sure that we have always been toasty in the winter and cool in the summer.

What makes this house unique

Camelot is located a little closer to the ski slopes and hiking than the water park, that is to say we are in the middle of the mountain. So while you are close to the amenities and enjoy the views, you will also be removed from the crowds who gather in the kettle if you so choose. Our quiet cul-de-sac backs up to green space and levels off to provide a great place to shoot some hoops. We are also about a 5-7 minute walk to the arboretum, which is a great place to sled(just in case it snows and you are looking for a place)

Awesomely Furnished House

  • 5 of 5

We have rented many houses over the past few years using VRBO. All of the houses we have stayed in have been nice and received good reviews from us. However, this house is by far the most clean, well thought out, and furnished than any of the others. Every time I would open a cabinet or closet door I was amazed by the variety available furnishing ranging from kitchen supplies to linens.

The game room down stairs was great in between our snow tubing sessions. My son loved the kids room with bunk bed, TV, and Wii. The hot tub was nice and clean. It also has a cover lift that make it super easy to take on and off.

Again this house was absolutely spotless. We will definitely stay there again when we go tubing again. My only area of suggestion for the owner would be to replace the outdoor grill. It has seen better days and food constantly sticks to the grates and burns.

Great job on creating a top notch rental property!!!

Very cozy home.

  • 5 of 5

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay at Camelot. The game room was awesome. We had 5 millennials with us, so the game room got them off their phones and interacting with us. There was plenty of sleep space. There is room to all hang out together, but also room to get away from the crowd when needed. And of course the hot tub was a big hit. We will not hesitate to stay here again if having another gathering in Massanutten.

Nice, clean, cozy home. Lots of amenities. Close to all activities

  • 5 of 5

In a cul-de-sac so no traffic. House Layout worked great for our two families. Deer could be seen every morning from the back deck. The hot tub was great. The game room was a huge hit and seen lots of action. We also enjoyed some of the card games. The location was close to skiing, tubing, the water park, arcade and ice skating. The morning after it snowed the roads were already being salted and scraped.

Shout out to the person/company that cleans your home,it is well maintained.

There were no problems. I would suggest an extra dresser in the downstairs area, anyone sleeping on the pullout has nowhere to unpack...Also maybe small side table beside the bed in the bedroom.

We utilized the back of the toilet, for our overnight case,so a skinny/small table in the bathroom would be good. The kitchen is pretty well stocked, but We brought and used mostly paper goods...

We look forward to returning again!

Thank you, The Winebarger & Callaway families *Yulee,Florida
