Getaway Weekend
Had a great time at this property on a weekend getaway. The weather caused some havoc but made it an adventure and enjoyed the small town and walking to get breakfast and the small shops.

Great location for hiking
Nice place, spacious & has many amenities, incl hot tub & firepit. Close to downtown and very close to entry to (one of) the entry to Appalachian Trail for hiking. 3 suggestions to make it perfect - 1) better mattress for master bedroom, 2) better internet (might be limited by what's available), 3) provide a keurig/nespresso or basic coffee/tea service.

We have always been mountain and outdoor lovers with family activities including hiking, camping and boating. We were drawn to Hot Springs for the peaceful surroundings and wonderful town.

Why they chose this property

Our family purchased this property as a second home, magical getaway in Hot Springs, NC. We loved the area so much we now call Hot Springs home. We offer this beautifully restored 1922 Arts & Crafts Chestnut Log cabin as a vacation rental for your special home away from home.

What makes this property unique

We fell in love with The Chestnut Log Cabin as it was an original 1922 Arts & Crafts home with a special feeling. Bonuses for us is the cabin situated directly on the Appalachian Trail and walking distance to town with a wonderful rocking chair front porch. This authentic log cabin offers all modern conveniences including secured wi-fi, Smart TV for streaming as well as You Tube Channel, renovated bath and kitchen and, our most requested amenity, the private outdoor hot tub!
