Charming House by the Beach

We thoroughly enjoyed our stay in this charming home--the perfect size for two couples. It's close to stores, lots of great restaurants and best of all--only ten minutes away from Ponquogue, the most beautiful beach in the world! We would love to return some day and would choose this property again. Thank you, Herma and Matt, for sharing your lovely house with us.

Wonderful Oasis

We had a lovely stay at this delightful house, and it was everything the description and the pictures led us to believe it would be. We were there over Thanksgiving, so we didn't expect good weather, but the yard, which has a raised patio and a lower patio, was a real sun trap, and we were able to sit there in relatively cold weather and enjoy the sun. All in all, this is a very nice place for a stay, and the location is great with easy access onto Sunrise Highway.

Excellent, Cozy Hideaway

My stay at Herma and Matt's was spectacular! I planned a month getaway from NYC amid COVID and their place was nothing less than cozy, comfortable and spacious, in an ideal location near the beach and town. As hosts, they were incredibly responsive, kind and respectful. Would recommend to anyone.

Garden of Eden in Hampton Bays

I was so lucky to have found Herma and Matt's beautiful home just before the world was hit by the pandemic. The pictures posted on Vrbo were spot on and I fell in love with the house the moment I walked in. I had never rented from a stranger before but Herma put me at ease immediately. During my almost 4 month stay, Herma and Matt responded quickly to all of my concerns and questions. The house is immaculate. (My 91 year old mother came for a visit and gave it her Seal of Approval). And as for the foliage; there are flowers blooming everywhere and interesting sea grasses. My favorite spot had to be the backyard where I could relax with a book, feel the breezes off the bay, watch the birds.fly. I'm going back

Quiet and Peaceful

Lovely house on a quiet street. Quaint downtown within walking distance. Herma was always available when we needed her.

We are a mature athletic couple living in Manhattan. This is our weekend place. We love adventure, sailing, biking, skiing and golfing. Except for skiing Hampton Bays offers all of it, including great restaurants and shopping.

Why they chose this property

This house was completely renovated in 2014, with kitchen, bathrooms and great fun and bright furniture. You will love the town, the water and the deck.

What makes this property unique

Very easy to get to because it's at the beginning of the Hamptons, but still close enough for you to enjoy all of the fancier towns. The house has a very inviting, romantic flair to it. You can walk to the RR Staton.
