About Lloyd & Jane Wickett
I was born in Old Town, Maine and graduated from the Husson University of Bangor. In the summers I worked on route 95 cutting trees through the Waterville area and then driving truck to pay my way through college. I spent the next 38 years working for a major retailer and traveled the world to purchase products. I now live in Florida but my roots are still in Maine where I was born.
Lloyd & Jane Wickett purchased this Cottage in 2005
Why Lloyd & Jane Wickett chose Old Town
I purchased this property from my cousin as we lived across the street from each other as we grew up. She could no longer give the property attention. I totally refurbished everything while keeping the size as it was due to restriction placed on property close to the water. You can no longer build on the water with a large cement pad as we have on this property.
What makes this Cottage unique
This property is where my wife and I can finally find some peace and quiet from everyone. The looking glass mirror of the lake in the morning, the cool breeze from the water on a warm summer day or the dancing moonlight on the water at night make this a special time in our lives. Hot dogs on the open fire, burgers on the grill or fresh lobster in the pot are all great memories that last Life is memories and this is where you make them.

Great lakefront house
We enjoyed our stay very much. The house was very clean and had a great layout. Views of the lake were stunning which made for a peaceful get away. We’ll stay here again.
Beautiful Place and Beautiful House.
We enjoyed our stay so much! This is our second time staying here. The cabin has everything you need and an incredible view. It was spotlessly clean when we arrived. We can’t wait to return!
The owner was very helpful answering any questions we had. The lake was very clear/clean and quiet. A very relaxing stay.
Our family enjoyed our stay at this lake side cottage. It was nice to sit out by the lake in the mornings and evenings. We also did some kayaking, and took day trips to Acadia National Park and Baxter State Park.
We are pleased that you took the time to complete a review of our property. While we strive for perfection, there can always be improvements. If you have ideas or things to add to the experience of our cottage, we welcome your input. Every year we add additional updates or items that the majority of people prefer. We wish you the best that life offers. Life is memories, make them the best memories possible.
The place was great and the boys had a great time. It was clean and had everything we needed.
The House was clean, well maintained, and I would recommend it to anyone. Lake was beautiful and ton of activities for the boys to do. Neve a dull moment.
Glad you enjoyed our special place. Life is memories, make them good ones.
