This Amazing House Has 4 Bedrooms, 41/2 Bathrooms And Two Blocks From The Beach

We are so excited to share our long awaited dream home in the beautiful town of Cape Charles. We named our home 'The Lighthouse Inn'. We are located two blocks from the beach and one block over from the town where you will find restaurants, shopping, the library, homemade ice cream etc.

This newly renovated 2800 sq ft home offers 4 bedrooms 4 1/2 bathrooms, living room, family room, dining area, kitchen and garage.

First floor offers a master suite with a queen size bed and a full bathroom with a shower. A living room with a couch and two lazy boy chairs. Next you have the family room with a large leather sectional and a 60 inch flat screen T.V. You also have a 1/2 bath with a washer and dryer off of the family room. The Kitchen is fully stocked with everything you need to feel right at home. The kitchen also has an extended bar top with 3 stools for extra seating. The dining area flows right off of the kitchen and has a large table that will seat 10. Off of the dining area is a glass sliding door leading to the deck in the backyard. The yard is fully fenced and offers a new gas grill, a new 5ft smoker/charcoal grill, 2 picnic tables and a patio table. Towards the rear of the yard is the garage where you will find the ping pong table, foosball table, dart board, corn hole boards, bikes, beach chairs, beach toys, kayak, etc. There is also ample parking in front of the garage.

The second level has 3 bedrooms a master suite with a king bed, a full bathroom with a separate shower stall and a jetted tub. Bedroom number two upstairs has a full size bed, and a bunk bed with a twin over a full and a full size bathroom. Bedroom number 3 upstairs has two bunk beds, both with a twin over a full and a full size bathroom with a tub/.shower.

After a long day at the beach or just some relaxing time please enjoy one of the four rockers on the front porch!

About Christine

I'm Christine and my husband is John. We have 3 children Nicholas, Brooke and Jamie. We moved to Virginia Beach from New York 17 years ago. John has been an Electrician since the age of 16, had a business in New York and started a new business in Virginia Beach. Eleven years ago he was asked to do an electrical job in Cape Charles for a new home that was being built. Once he laid his eyes on that fishing pier that was it! That night he came home it was all he could talk about. Two days later we took a ride over with our fishing poles and spent the whole day there. We did some fishing, had lunch, browsed through the shops, walked around, looked at all the old houses and said some day we will have a house here! And here we are eleven years later, our dream came true.

Why Christine chose Eastern Shore Virginia

We looked at ALOT and I mean ALOT of homes for sale in Cape Charles. This one was one of the first that we looked at. We kept coming back to it but kept thinking there was something better like everyone does. But I'm so happy we choose this house. I love the fact that every bedroom has it own bathroom. The size of the bedrooms are very nice, so many houses had such small bedrooms. I like how open it is and the fact that it has a garage. Most homes here do not have a garage. After we put much sweat and hard work into it, it's just perfect for us!

What makes this house unique

We love the fact that this house is so close to the beach and just around the corner from the town it's just the perfect location. We did look at a few others that we liked but they were not as close to the beach or the town.

Tennis Courts are located in the center of town bordering the park on Madison Ave. If you love horses, you must visit Pfeiffer Riding Stables a 150-Acre waterfront farm just up the road. They offer one hour horse back riding tours for $40.00 Very well worth the trip!

What a blessing!!

We felt so blessed for the third year in a row to have stayed in another beautiful home in Cape Charles for our 3rd annual family getaway! We were blessed with the finest comforts of the Lighthouse Inn and fantastic weather!! We felt like we were in a 5 star B&B!!! We are already planning for next year and need to decide soon so we can stay at the Lighthouse Inn again. Thank You Christine and John for sharing your awesome home!

Great Home!

My wife and I stayed here with three other couples in late September for a friend's wedding at The Oyster Farm. We made a long weekend out of it and had an amazing time!

The house has great updates and everything you need for relaxing and entertaining. With the available golf cart, it's easy to zip to the beach or any of the great shops and places to eat on the main street. Cape Charles Coffee House for breakfast (good - but slow service), one of the handful of cafes for lunch, the Shanty for dinner and repeat.

Easy access to a great public beach!

Christine is a great host and I highly recommend!

Not a care in the world!

This place was impeccable and had all, and I mean all, the creature comforts necessary to enjoy our week in Cape Charles. More than enough space, beds, and towels too. For a vacation rental, the kitchen had some nice pots/pans and glassware available for when we ate in. Rocking chairs in front of house provided some nice evening people watching and relaxation. Enjoyed the use of the beach chairs, wagon and bikes. We will defitinely be back again. They even had a new children's puzzle that our younger kids assembled on the one rainy day. Perfect place for a perfect getaway. Thank you Wegener's Lighthouse Inn.

The Lighthouse Inn and the "Bumblebee".

We applaude all the work that was put into making this a wonderful, clean home. There was plenty of space for children and adults too. The kitchen was better equipped then any place that we have rented in the last 28+years that we have vacationed in. The quiet backyard was very inviting with beautiful flowers and foliage. The golf cart was an added favorite. It got beach supplies and little people to and from the beach with little effort. The golf cart was called the "Bumblebee" and it was the coolest cart in town. Thank you Christine and John for making this a great vacation home away from home.

The perfect vacation spot and home!

We have visited Cape Charles every summer for vacation and stayed in a different home for the past 5 years or so. When we walked into The Lighthouse Inn, I knew this was the one we'd return to. It has all the amenities, is in the perfect location to the beach, Mason Avenue to shop and eat and has the most amazing and quaint backyard. We all truly felt like we were on vacation, but it felt like a home. The owners have it decorated to make it feel as though it is your home away from home. Thanks to Christine & John for sharing your home with everyone. We will be back!
