Photos and Description of this New Town holiday apartment

1 Bedroom + Convertible bed(s), 1 Bath (Sleeps 2-6)

This cozy, newly renovated apartment lies in the heart of Prague just meters from the National Museum and a short walk to the main historic sightseeing points. Spacious and tasteful furnishings make this an ideal apartment for a couple or group of 4 with a maximum possibility to accommodate 6 people. The master bedroom faces onto a tree filled courtyard ensuring a quiet and tranquil sleep. The large bedroom includes, in addition to a king size double bed, a fold out couch for 2 people. The separate living room (another fold out courch) and kitchen has a lot of light and the west facing windows offer stunning views to the Museum, which is beautifully lit up at night. In both living room and bedroom there are amazing original pieces of antique furniture which in combination with modern art and other furnishings make a great blend of romantic history and contemporary Prague.

The apartment boasts all necessary amenities including fully equipped kitchen, microwave, dishwasher, stove with oven, toaster, kettle, washing machine, massage shower, satellite flat screen TV, radio / CD mini system, DVD player and high-speed internet.

The spectacular turn-of-the century building has been recently renovated with new elevator, original features and modern security entrance with surveillance cameras.

The area itself is popular with visitors as it’s easily accessible to all major landmarks by foot (1 minutes to Wenceslas square and 6 minutes to the famous Astronomical clock at Old Town square). Public transportation links are superb with easy access to the airport (45 minutes), train (5 minutes by foot to the Main train station) and both metro (Muzeum stop, line A/C, is 1 min. away) and trams.

There are many good restaurants, bars, clubs and parks in the area, which is considered to be one of the safest districts in Prague.

We pride ourselves on excellent service and will do everything in our power to insure a smooth and relaxing visit to Prague. Feel free to contact me if you have any questions regarding this property or the others which I manage.

We were met at the airport on time and were driven to the apartment by a bilingual and informative gentlemen. This place was fabulous .Everthing that was stated in the descrption was accurate Extreamly convenient to transportation and museums, theatre and restaurants. Wonderful views, peaceful and quiet at night. The bathing facilities were top notch and the kitchen had everything I needed to cook a meal with. We loved this place and couldn't say enought wonderful things about our experience. Hope to stay there again in the future. Alenka

Nicely decorated, spacious, good location.....

  • 4 of 5

Spacious, tastefully decorated apartment, with a large bed; well furnished and clean apartment, with a strong wifi connection, a nice massaging shower, and the apartment is conveniently located near Wenceslas Square and the subway. It served us well on our week long vacation, as a good base for exploring Prague. Old town square and the Astronomical clock is a 20 minute walk away with lots of good restaurants in the area. It is a straightforward 3 stop subway ride to Prague Palace (or 4 stops if you want to walk back to the castle down hill rather than up). The apartment owner was always accessible whenever we needed additional help. Visitors to Prague should be aware that the Prague National Museum, built in 1885, and referenced in this listing, as being nearby and "a great view" has been under construction since 2011, and is closed until 2018, so your view of Prague is partly that of cranes and construction equipment. The owner has no control over this of course, but the listing should be more accurate.

Overall, a good choice as a rental apartment., and good value for the money paid.

it is better to tell the truth

  • 1 of 5

the apartment would be good for three people maximum, after a thorough maintenance : the shower room has limestone siphons clogged and broken pipe , the dishes are in poor condition some others are worn with broken handles , television broadcasts only a single channel , the sofa bed is in poor condition and is not comfortable to sleep on it , there is no real table and the kitchen floor ( corner) is not suitable for dining . The price is excessive in relation to the quality offered.

Owner's Response: Dear Francesco, I always appreciate reviews from our guests as it helps us to improve the quality of service but I must take issue with your exceedingly negative review as it affects our business and is frankly NOT an accurate reflection of the qualities of the apartment. I'm sorry you felt this way but a 1* review is just not fair for this apartment. 1) The apt. has 2 unfoldable double couches and a double bed so is suitable for 4-6 people sleeping. If you wanted 2 bedrooms you should have found a place more suitable to your needs 2) there is no broken pipe in the shower and I checked the apt. after your review to see if the cleaner had failed to clean the shower and saw no evidence of Limestone clogged siphons 3) There are plenty of dishes in fine condition, we inspected it after your review and found 1 small chiped bowl (which we replaced) and one pot missing a handle (must have happened before your arrival, thank you for pointing this out and I'm very sorry for this); the pot has been replaced as well 4) the TV has 59 channels with CNN, BBC and several English speaking kids programs (nickolodeon, disney and minimax) if the house instructions were not clear for you to use the remote control you could have let me know and asked how to use it 5) the sofa bed(s) both have new mattresses and are fine for sleeping on (we have also pull out bed in the living room for use) 6) There is a real coffee table but yes there is no Dining table however there is a kitchen bar where you can eat - all of this is shown clearly in the photos on the website, if it wasn't clear you could have asked before booking the apt. 7) I take a bit of offence when you say the price is excessive especially after offering you a pretty good discount for your group, and we supplied a FREE parking which would normally cost over 100 Eur I am not sure what your expectations are but I am very disappointed with this review as it is not a true reflection of this apartment. What bothers me the most is that as a guest you could have contacted me with any problems/concerns and we could have addressed them. Instead you resort to writing such a negative review which is misleading and doesn't address any positives at all (location, quiet, space, decor etc). I can only hope that future guests will read all of the other positive reviews and make a decision based on those. Regardless, I hope you enjoyed your stay in Prague and I am sorry you were not satisfied with our apartment. Petra

Loved it!!

  • 5 of 5

First of all Petra is amazing! Swift replies and I had no communucation problems. She even arranged a pick up for us. Due to homeaway automated messages we had a little confusion with the payment but petra was kind enough to call homeaway and sort it out. Everything worked well. We didnt meet her but Vladimir, the property manager was there. Instructions and guide were clearly printed and were very helpful. The house is a big and has an old charm to it. Yet petra has spent some money renovating the place. New beds and cupboards. The house was equipped with kitchenware too. And location was amazing. We managed to walk to all the tourist attractions in a day !!! There is a tesco and good czech restaurant nearby. In summary it was a good trip!

Great location, nice light apartment with everything you need for a few days

  • 4 of 5

This apartment is located at the top of Wenceslas Square so is ideal for seeing the sights of Prague. Great pickup/drop off service for the airport. All the basic amenities provided. Double bed incredibly comfortable. Sofa beds do the job. A little bit dirty, could do with a deep clean of floors and sheets etc. Very well lit from the big windows. Great shower. Would stay here again as price is very reasonable.

Owner's Response: Thank you for taking the time to review the our apartment. I am so glad you had an enjoyable stay in Prague. I am not sure what you mean about the deep cleaning as we instruct our cleaners to clean very well and have never had any comment about deep dirt before. The floor board are antique so they are definitely old but always are swept and mopped and completely clean. With regards to the sheets, we do buy new bedding and towels twice per year, but of course they are always washed before new guests arrived. I have spoke to the cleaner to ask if there was any problem with the laundry service and she assured me that all was in order. Regardless, if you had a problem with anything in the apartment it's a pity you didn't contact me as I would have sent the cleaner to fix whatever you felt was necessary. Thank you again for the review we always appreciate feedback which helps us to make sure that all of our guests have the best possible experience whilst staying In Prague. You are most definitely welcome back if you do visit Prague again. Petra

Beautiful apartment, Great location, Great service, Incredible Prague!

  • 5 of 5

Stayed at this property for 12 days and loved every minute of it. First of all, Petra is great. Easy communication, prompt response, very professional. Not one issue to complain about.

Pick up service was great as well. Vladimir, super friendly, came on time, helped with the luggage, and showed around the property.

Now the apartment was great. I love the big windows, lots of sunlight coming in. Super high ceilings and lots of air. The bedroom was a great size, nice comfy bed, and everything was pretty much perfect. Living room was super cozy, with a nice kitchen setup that has everything you need to make your own meals.

Location of this property is absolutely incredible. It is right behind the National Museum, which if you go around it, takes you straight to the Wenceslas Square. About 5 minutes of walking and you are there. The subway is right by the apartment. You just have to take an underground walkway towards the museum, and you will see the subway station. Off Wenceslas Square, with about 15-20 minutes of walking you will make it to The Old Town Square and pretty much all of the main tourist sights. Very easy to get to everything by foot. Walked the entire time I was in Prague and enjoyed every second of it. Subway is very easy to navigate as well, if you ever need it. Very self-explanatory without any unnecessary confusion. Super easy to get to everything you need, and not expensive at all.Theres is also a supermarket located underground at Muzeum Station, which is literally 5 minutes of walking from the apartment. Very easy to get groceries and prepare you own meals if that is what you deice to do.

Also, for solo travelers. if you are contemplating whether you should go or not, do not overthink it and just go. I traveled solo for the first few days and felt absolutely safe. No issues with safety at all. Just use common sense that you would at home and you will have a great time.

All in all, amazing experience. Great property, great people. Dealing with Petra was a breeze.

Prague is absolutely incredible, one of the most beautiful cities I have ever seen, and I will be coming back for sure, and will be staying at this property again as it was great. Also, will recommend this property to my friends and family who plan on going to Prague.

Thank you Petra!
