Great multi-generational property

  • 4 of 5

We had four generations enjoy the property. It's a nice house for kids, with many activities available on the property. Great basement area with room for a large group. Kitchen works well for multiple cooks. The area has many activities to keep everyone busy. Comfort of beds and decor were somewhat lacking, but the house is very reasonably priced, so would not expect luxury. Owners were very hospitable and were at the house when the first of us arrived. We had no issues, so no need to contact them during our stay. I would recommend this rental property to friends.

Beautiful place!

  • 5 of 5

My husband and I rented this house for the week before and week after our wedding as we got married at Boatwerks right in Holland! We had our whole bridal party come and stay with us for a couple days before/after the wedding and there was plenty of room for everyone to sleep. We also had our rehearsal dinner here and it was absolutely perfect- the yard is huge and there is plenty of room for parking. We had a couple mishaps along the way (because why wouldn't everything be stressful around wedding time?!) and the homeowners were SO responsive, kind, and understanding with everything. I would absolutely rent from them again and would 100% recommend this property for anyone looking into it. :)

Private Family Retreat

  • 5 of 5

The setting of this house was perfect, private but close to many activities. The men enjoyed the nearby golfing and the women enjoyed the nearby beaches. On the property itself we all had many things to do from basketball to campfires to a dip in the hot tub. The kitchen was well stocked and was roomy for cooking. The many items in the home were enjoyed as well such as toys, movies, puzzles and games. The entire property is well kept and clean. We enjoyed many walks to see nearby horses and farms. You can't go wrong staying here.

If you are looking for the PERFECT place to have a gathering, you have found it. The home was clean with plenty of supplies and I wish my kitchen had all the gadgets. The land is wonderful for the kids to run around, they also got a lot of use out of the trampoline, the swings and the toys that were already their for them. We had a great time around the fire pit, roasting marshmallows and after the grandkids went to bed - Cocktails!! Amy recommended Blue Star Meats for our cook outs and boy was she right (excellent). If you don't want to cook, go to Goog's for the burgers. You are close to whatever you want to do or see, shopping in Douglas, the Windmill in Holland and the cruise down the River into Lake Michigan, but are not surrounded by tourists. All of us had a great time and would highly recommend it for a get away!

Thank you Amy for a wonderful week!

Best VRBO home we have stayed in!

  • 5 of 5

Amy has done an excellent job of having the house well stocked. I was very impressed with the kitchen having everything we needed, including a candy thermometer, which was used to make peanut butter fudge! The location is perfect. Just a few minutes to everything, but yet far enough out of town to spread out and relax. The hammock was used a lot! The basketball court in the barn was a hit too. Plenty of room for 4 generations from 7 weeks to 80 years! The home is set up to accommodate plenty of children, so definitely recommend this for multi-families. Well stocked with games and toys. I wish we could have stayed longer.

Large family vacation in country setting

  • 5 of 5

We had three generations together for a wonderful week together. There was enough private space for the individual families, and several large common areas, including a screened porch. The basement playroom was stocked with toys which our toddlers loved. The trampoline was used by the children every day. We enjoyed the campfire and the hot tub, and star gazing at night.

There is a paved bike trail less than 2 miles west of the property, which goes north to Holland, or south to Saugatauk and Oval Beach (includes a $1 ferry ride). We also rode our bikes all over on the paved roads. There are many roads with bike lanes or good shoulders, and where there were neither the drivers here are very courteous of bikers, so it felt safe to ride .

The whole family enjoyed blueberry picking one day, and we all agreed Bowerman Blueberry Farm has the best blueberry donuts we've ever tasted.

We liked Tunnel Beach the best, and downtown Saugatauk is nice for touristy shops if you like that sort of thing. We liked the ice cream shop. We will definitely consider coming back.
