Kidson House is a historical house on the the Port Hills overlooking Christchurch. Kidson Terrace on where it was built was purchased and subdivided in 1907 and the house built the year after. Situated over looking the city yet only moments from local shops and close to the city. Or head over the hill into the beautiful beaches and bays of banks peninsula.

We bought this property just 12 months ago and have lovingly restored the house to it's former glory with lots of wonderful added modern touches (heated tiles, heatpump beautiful double glazed wooden windows, fully opening bi fold doors on to the deck and insulation to mention a few).

Stroll 100 metres up to The Cup, The Emperor's New Clothes or Victoria park. Four minutes to the start of Columbo which runs through the centre of Christchurch, and three minutes to Princess Margaret, the location is convenient and close to amenities while still providing the luxurious view of the City, the Snow Capped Mountains, and even the ocean.

Enjoy the romance of the location, with many walks, bike trails and cafes within a few minutes walking while still having the convenience of being close to the centre city.

The private modern and clean amenities mean that you relax and enjoy your surroundings should you wish just to sit on the deck with a coffee or a wine, or curl up on the couch to watch a movie.

great place for a long working vacation

We stayed here for 16 days and it was great: the view was spectacular, the neighbourhood was lovely, and the apartment was clean and roomy. The temperature outside fluctuated quite a bit, yet the apartment stayed at a comfortable temperature. I would highly recommend it!

4 Kidson Terrace is a beautiful modern ground floor flat. As a family of three, we loved it. The views over the city were spectacular during the day and night. A short drive away are all the local shops, parks and scenery you could want. We stayed in 4 Kidson Terrace as we needed a short term rental while we got settled in Christchurch for the long term. It was a great place with stunning views that constantly reminded us why we decided to emigrate from the UK.

Excellent bedding/blanket situation.

Lovely shower.

Brilliant views.

Nice and close to a brilliant bar/restaurant.

Cons:

We were led to believe the property was stand alone as opposed to underneath the main house.

Parking was an issue.

Owner's Response: We do list as a flat/duplex we have never had any other issues with this. Sadly being Christchurch the road works were meant to be finished months ago ago but we're held up apparently by the recent February 14th earthquake. So I do apologize.
