Royal Kailua Estate is a veritable Polynesian palace of unrivaled opulence located in Kailua, on Oahus northern coast in the great state of Hawaii. The estate spans an astonishing 11,000 square feet atop a moderate inclination. The grounds are covered in lush tropical flora with panoramic views of the turquoise Kailua Bay, and the villa consists of two pavilions. This estate has seven suites with a maximum occupancy of fourteen guests, each of whom will be astonished at the mere sight of their idyllic surroundings.
The estates many amenities start with an impenetrable ten-foot tall, solid wooden gate surrounded by black lava rock. The courtyard features a natural stone, resort-style swimming pool with a cascading waterfall designed to look like a mountain spring. And the Jacuzzi is just steps away. A pool cabana has everything one needs for outdoor entertaining including a gourmet kitchen and bar. The home also features modern amenities including entertainment systems, a library and Wi-Fi.
The second one enters the home, a grand spiral staircase demands your immediate attention. The living room with television is cozy and plush. Adjacent to this room is a gourmet kitchen which is any cooks dream with two oversized refrigerators and iceboxes, a huge island with bar stools and views of the sprawling green lawn.
The estates seven bedrooms are split up between the main house and the guest house, with five suites in the former and two in the latter. The master suite is a real dish with a king size bed, en-suite bathroom with waterfall steam shower and extra-large jetted tub as well as panoramic ocean and beach views. All other rooms also feature king beds and en-suite bathrooms plus other amenities.
Kailua is actually a well-kept secret from most off-island visitors and it offers a calmer pace of life than what is typically found in Oahus bustling southern beaches. Though only a thirty-minute drive from Honolulu where one can find plenty of gourmet restaurants, high-end retail shopping and an active nightlife, Kailua in its humble modesty still has plenty to offer. Kailua Beach Park is where the fun starts, where travelers can work on their tans or try their hand at any number of exciting watersports including kayaking, windsurfing, kite boarding and scuba diving. Come enjoy the Pacific dream vacation of a lifetime!

KNOW BEFORE YOU GO
While Kailua is not as lively as Waikiki, it still maintains a vibrant rhythm unto itself. The town consists of a few blocks of trendy boutiques, popular restaurants and local hangouts, like the Thursday evening's Farmer's Market. For a formal dinner, we recommend Formaggio Grill, a fine restaurant that boasts over 50 wines by the glass. At nearby Kailua Beach, many activities abound including kayak rentals and kite board lessons. For a postcard worthy shot of Kailua, grab a water bottle and take the one hour Lanikai Pillbox hike!

This is a beautiful villa which suits our family of 16 perfectly. Being right on the beach with a pool, hot tub, media room, and very comfortable living spaces makes a perfect place to gather for Christmas. All of the rooms are spacious and nicely furnished, the kitchen is big enough for us all to gather, and the staff is very attentive when called. There are a few problems which need attention, but the staff is aware and hopefully they will be resolved.
Best house, best beach, great personnel to work with. I couldn't ask for anything better.
This trip was a well organized and extremely enjoyable experience for our entire family.
This is a great house with a perfect location on the beach in Kailua.
Chef Andrew is a treasure. We hope to work with him again.
When we have booked with Luxury Retreats before we got daily cleaning services. We were surprised that right before we left we found we had to book cleaning services and pay additionally -- then were told by cleaners that we were such clean guests that she had time to clean windows and some other things. We thought that interesting.
The size and configuration of the house worked very well for us. There are a few minor improvements i might suggest: (1) a way to open the gate from inside the house, (2) a folding table in the downstairs laundry room, (3) new racks for the dishwashers, (4) bar soap for the showers
The home was truly perfect for our needs from location to layout. It does have a lot of bells and whistles that create some problems- house alarms beeping all the time and lights turning on and off all over the house in the middle of the night.
