You will love this beautiful 2 bedroom (+queen sleep sofa), two bath Country Cabin in the woods just off hwy 227 on 700+ feet of trail creek front!
The master bedroom has a huge pine log queen bed, charming antique library table writing area, lounge sofa and it's own lovely pine bathroom with a soaking tub.
The oak bedroom is charming and colorful with a big queen pine sleigh bed and oak leaf decor.
For additional guests the red sofa in the living room folds out to a queen size bed. I recently finished the mantel for the infrared fireplace in the living room - which makes it oh so cozy and romantic!
The kitchen is fully functional, bright and pleasant. It has an oven, microwave and jennaire cook top stove with a grill. A big coffee pot and coffee presses for two and 4 are on hand as well as a nice counter top pancake grill and waffle iron. Also find blender, crockpot and a small food processor. There is a small electric grill outside, a big propane bar-be cue grill and a fire pit for gathering and toasting marshmellows and such.
In the oak grove, just across the drive way and behind the shop - check out our new BIG HOT TUB with great star view, recently screened for more privacy.
I highly recommend the seasonal 'pool' in the creek for a quick cool down - about 150 steps from the front porch. (May - early August and Late September - October) There is also a 16" swimming pool for May - October use. Take one of the big soft bath sheets with you!
Out past the fire pit is a short trail to the meadow - a lovely place to walk.
The entire cabin from the handcrafted shutters to the plentiful art is beautiful and comfortable - but the creek and grounds are truly awesome! I love a creek like a 7 year old does and this one is super fun! It has a very wide smooth slate rock base, a beautiful lava flow... with deep channels and pools. In the spring it looks like a river but it dwindles with the warmer weather and you can walk right out on it and play between the deeper flows - until it may almost stops completely in late August to return with the first September / October rains. Enjoy lots of cool reptiles, water lizards, turtles, crayfish, frogs and small fish... Elsewhere on the grounds you will spot deer, turkeys, geese, rabbits and such.
Kids and dogs love it here! It works great as a romantic get away, family fun spot or Hunting / Fishing base. Dogs welcome!
We have hundreds of feet of historic rock walls, oak and pine groves interspersed with maples, mountain ash, manzanita and mountain scenery. The fall and spring colors are breathtaking!
This is an optimal location for hunting, fishing, rafting, hiking or cross country skiing and trips to Crater Lake.
You will be 10 minutes from Shady Cove, Oregon and five minutes from the Rogue River.
Take a Hike to Mills Creek Falls just east of Lost Creek Lake with just a 20 min drive through some of the prettiest country you will ever see!
In 1 about hour you can be at a play at the Ashland Shakespeare Festival a Jacksonville Britt Festival show, an Umpqua waterfall hot spring. Seven Feathers Casino or incomparable Crater Lake!
You may however like it right here so well you will just stay put and relax.
Dozens of varieties of wild flowers grow right here on the grounds along the creek and trails and in the meadow.
Coffee and a large selection of herbal and traditional teas are included as well as lots of Microwave popcorn! Basic condiment, cooking spray and spices are on hand/ included also.
Check in 3PM and check out at 12 Noon, unless otherwise arranged.
Come on down - everyone will love it here.
Alan and Diane have been married since 2011. We very much wanted a quiet in the country place where we could enjoy nature with water near by. We looked and looked - and found this absolutely charming place with 700+ feet of creek front! Then we made it 'ours' with hand stenciled pine floors and extensive pine wood work. We papered, painted and hand crafted pine shutters. We just love it here and we are sharing it with you.
We have a studio cabin out behind the pump house. I am working at building a 3000 step walking meditation labyrinth else where on the property and trying to fabricate my own yurt... It's all fun! Alan, Diane and Cherry (Mon Cherrie Doggie) on Buck Rock in August 2014. The cabin is in the valley about two miles behind us.
Alan Bowes and Diane Berry-Bowes purchased this cabin in 2014
It's beautiful, comfortable and near many great Southern Oregon sites, sports and entertainment locations, without the noise and traffic!
Relax in the Hot Tub or hang out at the fire pit with your best doggie. I can take a beautiful quiet walk up the creek every morning and enjoy my breakfast on the front porch.
A pair of geese nest right across the creek from the pump house....
Located in the Upper Rogue Region of the Wild and Scenic Rogue River within easy reach of Ashland & Britt Festival, Umpqua waterfalls and recreational areas, Lost Creek Lake and Crater Lake. Raft, fish, see live music and Shakespearean Drama, enjoy the bar scene in Ashland, tour the many area wineries or just soak up the healing beauty of the trees, sky, Trail Creek and the stars with NO I-5 noise!
Nicely outfitted with kitchen stuff, movies, bedding, etc. Super clean. We got rained on for our whole visit but the cabin kept us warm and dry. The porch was a nice place to enjoy the rain and the sound of the creek. Our hosts were pleasant and good at communicating instructions and directions. Moodle is a sweetie.
Loved the coziness; the bathtub for soaking; the hot tub for nights under the stars; Lovely site at the river's edge. Plenty of dishes/cookware/spices/teas/coffees/movies for the indoor scene. Very clean. Close to many attractions including Shakespeare/Crater Lake/wineries(especially the one beginning with K (if that helps)); Mac's Diner and Phil's Frosty in Shady Cove. Would highly recommend cottage; their description is right on!
Owners are very accomodating and helpful.
the cabin was clean and homey. I can continue to praise the property but I do not want other reviewers to think the place is too to be true. owner was great too
This rental worked out really well for us (2 couples), for our extended weekend. All the care and little details put into this place really showed. We've stayed at numerous rental homes, and this one was by far the most well stocked in terms of household items--including coffee! Having a fully functional kitchen with a dishwasher, new stove and tons of utensils was a huge plus, since we did all our cooking. Since we were in the area to do some serious biking, we chose this place for the hot tub (to sooth our tired muscles), and it paid off--it was hot, clean (we liked it wasn't overly chlorinated), and the stargazing at night was outta sight!
We enjoyed our stay at the Trail Creek Cabin in Trail, Oregon. The owners Alan and Diane were friendly and gave us lots of suggestions for local sites and eateries. The cabin was beautiful - well stocked and comfortable. It was beautifully and artfully decorated with lots of "rustic" charm. The cabin was less than an hours' drive to Crater Lake and many parks along the Rouge River, so there was plenty to do in the area. I would definitely recommend this charming cabin to friends and family who may be traveling up that way.
Cabin very clean and had fun pool, hot tub and play area for kids. The appliances and kitchen utensils inside were high quality. Owners were very friendly, helpful and prompt to answer any questions. Would definitely stay here again if in the area.
Upper Rogue River Valley - Recreation Area with Rogue River and Lost Creek Lake activities, fishing, boating, rafting, hiking, swimming... Also near (13 miles) Eagle Point Golf Club and course. Crater Lake 1 hour away in one direction Ashland 1 hr away in the other direction. This is a great 2-3 day weekend get away for those from Portland or San Francisco...
