Hi. I'm Deborah and this is our Adventure Cabin in the pines. I own an Adventure Travel company (I'm a travel agent) and I arrange exciting and adventurous trips for Clubs and groups. I am taking outdoor, photography, hiking and social Clubs to some really amazing places next year!! So, what's on your Bucket List??? If you're like me and love adventure - hiking, biking, exploring, fishing... you'll love your stay in Prescott in our cabin in the National Forest. Bring your kayaks or bikes, and enjoy the area.
Looking for a forest getaway just an hour or so from Phoenix? At 6,100 feet elevation in the cool forest- biking, hiking, fishing and just good ol' R and R are at your fingertips. And we are just a stone's throw (OK - it's a looong stone's throw...) from Lynx Lake. It's just down the road. Where there is a lovely Cafe with wonderful food, a walking path all the way around the lake (fabulous walk!!), fishing, boating and paddle boats for rent!!
Autumn leaves, just an hour or so's drive from Phoenix! In the enchanting forest, but downtown Prescott and Whiskey Row are just minutes away!
As this was my first experience with this type of rental process, I kept my expectations low. I will say I was very pleasantly surprised as I was greeted by Deborah. Her guesthouse was exactly as I was hoping, and then some. This little guesthouse is private and cozy. The added and unexpected feature of having the creek running just outside the window and off the deck, and being able to fall asleep at night with that was "just what the doctor ordered." I spent the week here to "decompress" from my crazy life in the valley, and cant wait to go back. The bed was very comfortable and I must say I haven't felt this rested in quite a while. Thanks again Deborah for a great stay!
We enjoyed our recent stay at the cabin. One of my husband's priorities was a fireplace, and we loved the gas pot-bellied stove. It did a great job warming up the place quickly when we fired it up in the morning and in the evening when we came home. The thermostatic control on it kept the cabin nice and cozy. Unfortunately our car could not make it up the snowy driveway to the nice clear parking pad, but Deborah gave us an alternative place to park, and the steps up to the cabin entrance were clear and dry. Only one thing could have made the stay more comfortable: a throw rug next to the bed - the floors were cold first thing in the morning! :-)
We really enjoyed this cozy cabin in the pines. My girlfriend is very outdoorsy while I am not, and this was the perfect compromise for us. We had a great time and will likely stay there again.
My boyfriend and I stayed for the New Years weekend and absolutely loved it. We had no agenda going up there but to literally do nothing and just relax. This was definitely a great place for that too!!! Deborah and Larry have such a beautiful cabin and definitely make sure it is cozy and inviting. I loved the fishing theme throughout the cabin and honestly do not feel pictures do this place justice. It was even better than we had anticipated!! They have a great selection of movies and board games that we took advantage of. We sat outside on the deck several times with our wine enjoying the creek and even got a bit of snow! Deborah was super friendly and had plenty of suggestions for stuff to do around Prescott and nearby at Lynx Lake. I will definitely come back for a visit again and will be recommending to othersrs looking for a cozy spot to escape city life. Thank you again for letting us enjoy the Cabin in the Pines!
We loved everything...except.the cabin needs a bigger refrigerator instead of a minifrig........other than that.....great property and hosts!!!! Very romantic.........
We loved the cabin. It has everything you need for a get-away and was very clean, as promised. Detached from the main house, the cabin is very private and quiet. We streamed Netflix and Pandora without any problems on local wifi.
There is a little lake just 5 min away, where you can fish, rent a boat, or do a very easy but beautiful hike around the lake.
We will definitely coming back. Thank you, Deborah!
In celebration of our wedding anniversary, Daisy and I revisited Prescott.
Instead of an in-town hotel, we chose to stay at the Cabin in the Pines location.
It was the best choice we have made ( Since getting married!!)
Deer checking us out through our window, the delightful peace of the place, and the thoughtful layout of the interior were evidence of a successful effort to provide what is completely unavailable in hotels. The fishing motif throughout the cabin was at the extreme end when it became necessary to replace the toilet paper in the fishing reel--but was offset by Larry's helpfulness when we needed
some resupplies during our two week stay. Satellite T.V. is coming, but we found Netflix (if you're a subscriber) or other on -line offerings were sufficient, or better, than the politicized and repetitive Election news Cycle during our October visit.
A light weight Eureka Cordless Vacuum might be a helpful addition for future guests use in the reduction of graham cracker crumbs and oak leaves from the maintaining the excellent wood floors and carpet---try it you will like it!
