Yanick Tremblay purchased this chalet in 2004
The chalet itself is beautiful and very well kept. We had 7 people including 4 kids and there was plenty of room for everyone. This is what a ski chalet should be. The place was very clean and well kept when we arrived. The main living area (kitchen, dining, living room) is larger than it appears in pictures. There is an additional living room area that is large in the basement as well (it's walk-out so lots of great light and big windows there).
The chalet is back from the road enough that we did not hear any sound from traffic. It's not a busy road in any event. It snowed the second night there and there was someone plowing the driveway early morning. We did not hear him either, just happened to look out and see him. The lot itself is beautiful with many trees...just a great setting.
We had a fire every night after skiing and enjoyed the hot tub most days. The kitchen is well equipped and there is also a nice BBQ on the covered porch. This place would be a great spot for either winter or summer.
The only negative is that it's very noisy (small spaces between walls and floor) between the main floor and upstairs levels (and between upstairs bedrooms) , so not a lot of privacy in that respect. Not sure if that is a normal thing in a log home? If you want somewhere quieter to hang out or for a bedroom, head to the basement level as it's more like a normal house from a sound level there.
Overall we loved it and would stay there again.
The chalet and the view was beautiful!! Very quiet, great for a big family (we were 12) with kids! Not too far from Tremblant. The only thing is that it is not very isolated meaning you can hear everything in between rooms!! But everything else was perfect!!
This chalet is perfect for family & friend vacation, very nice design and quiet area not too far from Tremblant resort. the 2 living rooms were great for kids who can play while we finish our glass (or bottle) of wine.
I recommend this place *****
Tremblant is a year-round vacation paradise where numerous pleasures abound. The region offers a wide array of gourmet restaurants, boutiques, cultural events, musical variety shows and various exhibitions. Camp Nord is located only 10 minutes away from the southern foothills of Mont-Tremblant.
For sports buffs, the north side is the ideal location. No line-ups for parking or ticket counters- a well-kept secret known only to connaisseurs!
Shimmy down the slopes of Mont-Tremblant, the skiers and snowboarders' paradise. Ski Magazine still regards Station Mont-Tremblant as the # 1 Resort in Eastern North America''. And since le Camp Nord is just two minutes away from Tremblant, why not return home to have lunch or warm up?
Mont Éléphant, is also just a few steps away and an ideal location for snow-shoeing; just follow the path to reach the top of the mountain where you can enjoy an impressive view of Tremblant and the surrounding area. For cross-country lovers, Mont-Tremblant Park boasts several hundred kilometres of runs, all within a 10-minute drive from Camp Nord.
Winter here offers tons of activities; you can experience dog-sledding or a sleigh ride in our enchanting winter’s wonderland, visit the many art galleries, skate on the lake, practice ice climbing or pamper yourself with a sublime Swedish massage.
Summertime is synonymous with activities galore: Canoeing downstream on the river (La Diable) is definitely a memorable experience‚ you embark in the Mont-Tremblant Park and wild water race down to the cottage, a three-hour breathtaking escapade that brings you right home
Hikers will enjoy the North-South trail located at the foot of the north-side of Tremblant; it takes you across to the south side of the mountain. But if you prefer a 4-kilometer hike with the family, Mont Éléphant is what you are seeking.
Golfers are spoiled with four championship golf courses no more than a 15-minute drive away! Le Géant, Le Diable, La Bête and le Maître are without a doubt among the most attractive golf courses in Québec
For relaxation-seekers, the atmosphere in the village of Station Tremblant will have you dancing to the sounds of the International Blues Festival or Rhythms of the World. The legendary Mont-Tremblant raceway is also a spectacular attraction.
Back to the cottage, why not observe the moon and stars through the telescope, especially during the month of August when the meteors appear!
To satisfy your sweet tooth, a visit to the Sugar Shack is a must - it's a Québec tradition!
Come fall, the scenery in Tremblant resembles an impressive painting with mountains and forests showing off their flamboyant colours.
