Gorgeous mountain views. You have to visit to see for yourself. Quiet and peaceful neighborhood. Large hay fields surround the home. View of two small farm ponds.
Comfortable, homey, very clean, everything you forgot you would need is provided. Wonderful . We highly recommend it.
My family of 5 (kids - 5, 3, 1) had a wonderful stay at this property. Bedrooms for everyone, fully equipped kitchen and even baby gear on hand! The location was perfect for us. 15-20 mins.to Peaks of Otter. Nicely situated between Roanoke and Lynchburg (awesome children's museum).
The furnishings are dated but the price more than accommodates that. An FYI, we had a lot of rain while we were there and it was very loud in the upstairs rooms right under the roof. My oldest daughter had to move downstairs and sleep in with our toddler because it was too loud for her.
But we came to Virginia from Atlanta for the mountains. And this house delivered! The view is terrific! And it's so peaceful.
My family and I rented this home for 3 nights so we can attend my nephew's wedding to his girlfriend, who is from this area.
Our stay was wonderful, comfortable, and relaxing. We also had a chance to meet the owner Judy, who was very pleasant and friendly.
The house was clean, spacious, and close to town and the reception hall (which was a plus). Our elderly parents were with us (dad uses a cane), and the house was set up for easy access inside and out for them. They are both in their 80's. We would recommend this home to all.
It has a wonderful view of the mountains, and beautiful large farmland property. It is a 4 1/2 star to us.
What a great house! The house was nice and big, and the great room and garage were a great addition to the home! It allowed lots of room for the kids to play, and there were plenty of bedrooms for all. The propane fire pit is really nice to use on the back patio, especially on a clear night! The house was very clean, and the homeowners even had various snacks available, which was a very thoughtful touch! We will definitely come back to this house for a future trip to VA!
The house was great and very comfortable for the six of us. Me, my spouse, my brother and wife, and sister and wife - 6 adults stayed and had a wonderful time. The bedrooms were accommodating as well as all the living areas. We had lots of room to spread out or to gather as a family. There are 2 dining areas, but either one accommodates 6 very comfortably. The kitchen is quite adequate and well equipped as well as the 2.5 baths. The 2 porches, front and back supplied ample shaded areas for all of us at once, or for one person just to get away from the "crowd" for a while. The views from both porches were excellent. The 69 acres were beautiful - quite a few acres of hay field surrounding the home and the 2 ponds, and acres and acres of wooded land. The owners were very friendly and accomodating - lovely, interesting people. We are already planning our new "tradtion" - all getting together for a few wonderful days of a small family reunion. We highly recommend this as a private and beautiful escape vacation!
The house is well-maintained. Breathtaking views and peaceful settings.
