Relaxing experience in the nature

  • 5 of 5

We stayed there only for 4 nights but we felt very relaxed and enjoyed our stay very much. The house was well maintained and very clean.

The waterfalls are beautiful. Since there is no cellular phone service in the area and the GPS is not totally reliable, we suggest to arrive during the daytime. Once you arrives in, you can access the internet service inside and near the house.

There are many small animals including dears, rabbits, and raccoons passing by the roads and you need to drive carefully. We saw no bears...

It is very quiet except the sounds from the waterfalls.

Outstanding house and location

  • 4 of 5

Wow...where do I begin?! This home is just lovely and has many amenities. The waterfalls and cliffs are beautiful....majestic....with great hiking and fishing within minutes. The house was comfortable and clean and well stocked with everything you need to cook or grill. AC worked great and bedding was comfy. We loved playing pool and using the hot tub, and spent a lot of time in the screened porch. A great getaway for friends and family.

Incredible and relaxing house

  • 5 of 5

My friends and I were all amazed by Cliffside Falls. There were so many lovely touches, from the fresh-baked cookies and bottle of welcome wine to the bird feeders that drew goldfinches, juncos and other birds all weekend. Oftentimes rental properties don't have particularly well-stocked kitchens, but Cliffside Falls had everything we needed to prepare big group meals. The photos of the waterfalls don't do justice to how beautiful they are -- if you're willing to do a bit of scrambling, there are even some pools you can go swimming in. Melissa was a gracious host who helpfully accommodated our special requests. We hope to come back in the fall to see the autumn leaves!

A truly special home and property

  • 5 of 5

Our group of eight adults just got back from a relaxing and refreshing three night stay at Cliffside Falls and we all agree: this is a beautiful and special place. We knew it from the moment we pulled up to the house and saw the sweeping mountain views and heard the sounds of the falls. The owners really thought of everything and then some, including a plate of some of the best chocolate chip cookies we've ever had and a bottle of wine for us to start our weekend off on a relaxing note. The kitchen was well-stocked with utensils, cookware, and small appliances. The fire pit and hot tub are perfectly situated to allow you to enjoy the vistas while engaging in either of those activities. All of the bedrooms were welcoming and comfortable, with an abundance of pillows. Every room of the house was clean and fresh. The trail to the falls was perfectly marked and maintained and the falls themselves we just amazing. We took a day-trip out to Lost River State Park for some additional hiking and the drive out there was gorgeous and not very far. Communication with Melissa, the owner, was good and clear. We got lucky with an unseasonably warm and sunny February weekend, but noticed that between the game room and provided entertainment systems, we would not have had a shortage of things to do if the weather would have forced us to stay indoors. Among our group, we've stayed at at least a dozen rental properties, and we all agreed that this was a superior experience overall.

The only thing we couldn't understand is how the owners ever leave this place, but we're so grateful that they share it with others when they do!

Beautiful property

  • 5 of 5

The house is gorgeous, well decorated, and equipped with all of the conveniences you could possibly need. It's stocked with bath salts for the master bath's jacuzzi tub, k-cups for the keurig, and snacks for those who forgot to bring their own. There were also fresh baked cookies on arrival and chocolates next to each bed. The wifi was much faster than expected, even given the fact that there were no less than 10 devices connected at the same time. The location is gorgeous. You're literally right on the side of a waterfall. The master bedroom looks down over a cliff into the stream that feeds the lower (and larger) falls. It's also only about a 20 minute drive from Lost River State Park, which has a large number of outdoor activities. There is no cell service, but the owners have a local number that you can call from the house phone if you need anything, and were prompt in returning messages. I would absolutely recommend it - some of the other guests even went so far as to see how much the house sold for.

Just wonderful

  • 5 of 5

House was fully stocked with everything we needed. From chocolate chip cookies to kitchen appliances to firewood. Relatively close to grocery stores and outdoor activities. Spectacular views. Probably one of the best places we've rented on here.
