On the Great Ocean Road, with ocean views and beach access and a short drive from the township of Apollo Bay, this architect designed modern house with three bedrooms and two bathrooms plus an an additional separate toilet is fully equiped for a holiday rental. Access to the Otway National Park and fabulous beaches for walking, swimming or surfing makes this a great base for exploring the region. Or you can just relax and chill out with the stunning view and walk or swim on the local beach.
The living is open plan with a perfect kitchen for cooking, dining or socialising. The amenities are state of the art and up to date.
Bedroom 1 with a queen size double bed looks out onto the ocean and the shared bathroom can be ensuite. Go to sleep with the sound of the ocean and wake to stunning views.
Bedroom 2 with two single beds can be made into a double-bed room or a bedroom for two children.
Bedroom 3 with a double bed is in a separate building next to the outside decking and has its own ensuite bathroom and TV with DVD player - for privacy from the main house.
In the open plan living area there is a dining area to sit up to 8 people, with opening doors to a deck and barbecue area adjacent to the garden.
From the kitchen area bi-fold doors open onto a deck with table and chairs for outside eating or relaxing with the view of the ocean and beach.
The front of the living space overlooks the ocean and beach and is complete with TV, DVD and stereo system.
The house is right in the middle of Otway National Park and its waterfalls and walking tracks. Cape Otway lighthouse and fabulous beaches are a short drive to the west. Go east up the Great Ocean Road, a wonder of the natural world, for a scenic drive to towns along the coast like historic Lorne. Go west, or take a joy flight, to see the 12 Apostles and Port Campbell. Inland there are walks and waterfalls of the Otway National Park. And nearby Apollo Bay with its harbour offers shopping, golf, ocean going fishing trips, restaurants and two pubs.

The view, the sea, whale watching, walking on the beach and in the neighbouring region. It is a beautiful part of the world and worth spending some time visiting.
As my title says, it was awesome to walk out to the Kitchen, to be greeted by the surf which was only <100m away.
Fantastic for a family or two, chefs kitchen which was well stocked! We stayed 10 nights and wanted to stay longer.

There's nothing like a relaxing holiday at the beach - and this was the place to do it. This beautiful home was very comfortable for two couples and a single adult traveling together. We couldn't believe how lucky we were to wake up to the fantastic views every day. I loved the design of the house and the well equipped kitchen had everything needed to cook wonderful meals with friends. A walk on the beach every morning and a warm fire in the evening made our stay perfect. We went exploring each day on the Great Ocean Road and always looked forward to returning to our cozy retreat. It is very close to Apollo Bay where we purchased fresh seafood for our meals. The owner, Mark, responded quickly and was easy to work with. It was the perfect end to our Australian vacation - only wished we could have stayed longer.
We had a fantastic time and this is definitely the best equipped house with very generous hosts. Beachfront views and the house is beautifully appointed and well laid out with two rooms in the main house and a separate room with ensuite, ensuring everyone had their own privacy and space. It is only a few steps away from the beach and a short drive to Apollo Bay. The Saturday morning Apollo Bay market saw us buying beautiful potato, fresh large Brigitta blueberries, organic apple cider. The Apollo Bay Fish Co-Op had very fresh fish, prawns and mussels. Cooking was a delight in the kitchen, with induction cook top and sharp Wusthof knives! Wifi, sound system and multi charger to suit all devices and kept everyone happy. Linen and amenities were also included. We had lunch at Brae restaurant (Dan Hunter) at Birregurra (35 minutes away) which was fabulous. Walking uphill on Tiger Lane nearby gives a great bird eye view of the coast and provided necessary exercise after all the eating! Mark was always quick in responding and very helpful. I would give 6 stars if I could!!
Our family (2 adults and 3 kids age 4 to 10) spent a wonderful week in this gorgeous house. Location is ideal - a few meters from the beach (with a little river stream) on one side and rolling hills on the other - perfect for exploring GOR and the Otways. The house is cleverly designed, beautifully decorated with lots of space, amazing views, top-of-the-range equipment, bedding etc. Very well equipped house - felt very homey. The house was cozy and warm on cold days and cool on warmer days. There is a little enclosed garden at the back where kids could play - and it even had a little sleeping koala in the tree! We didn't meet Mark but communication and logistics were very easy. Pretty much the perfect holiday house - would highly recommend it to anyone looking for a relaxing time in Great Ocean road.
We had a fantastic time as always. The house and contents are gorgeous and we feel like we are staying at a friends holiday home, so welcoming and everything is there ready and waiting for us.
Skenes Creek - midway along the Great Ocean Road between Lorne and Port Campbell. Stay here and drive to (or fly over from Apollo Bay) the 12 Apostles and Port Campbell, or into the Otway National Park or to the Cape Otway National park or towards Lorne or Wye River.
