About Charlotte Perry

My business is LUXbnb, we offer short-stay properties in wonderful neighborhoods in Northwest Washington including those areas in high demand by visitors, i.e. DuPont Circle, Georgetown, Palisades and Capitol Hill. We offer studios to full homes for stays of 4 nights up to 8 months. Let us know your travel plans and we will find the best fit for your needs. Be generous and share the knowledge of LUXbnb, your source for short-stay rentals in Washington, with your friends, family and colleagues.

Our latest addition are vacation properties for Washingtonians. See the Washington Vacations section on our website for homes in the nearby mountains. Take a few days away from the bustle of the city to explore our bucolic countryside little changed over the past 2 to 3 centuries. Visit wineries and orchards, significant Civil War battlefields and historic towns, hike the Apalachian Trail or follow in the footsteps of our founding fathers by visiting their homes. There is plenty to do that beckons you to leave the city for a weekend or a week.

A bit about me...I am a former Californian who, after 12 years in DC, is now an honorary Washington native. Being well traveled both domestically and internationally has given me a great appreciation for the enrichment contact with others brings to our experience. I am well-versed on the 'must-see' sights, monuments and museums of our culturally rich city, along with the unique experiences your find only in Washington. We share that insight with our guests in our property Welcome Guides which we send upon confirmation.

We very much enjoy hosting visitors to our Nation's Capital and ensuring that they are able to make the most of their visit.

Guestbook comments from the manager

Great apartment

We were four days in Washington, and we felt very comfortable in the apartment. We most liked the two bedrooms and the large and very well equipped kitchen. The subway is just around the corner and the shops are very good. We can recommend this apartment!

Reviewer Comments:

My family stayed in this home for a week. The location was excellent. Unfortunately, the bathroom was dirty. The trashcan was full, floor dirty, and bathtub had a well used bar of soap, hair, and used shampoo. Also, the towels were wet and still in the washing machine. We let the management know, and all he did was apologize, and say he would let housekeeper know. As a property owner that rents out a beachfront property, if a guest had let me know of a filthy bathroom, I would have sent someone to clean it, and refunded the cleaning fee. I would not recommend this property due to the lack of cleanliness in the bathroom.

Reviewer Comments:

We enjoyed a relaxing stay in this cute house in quiet Cap Hill neighborhood. We loved taking our now adult sons to areas we lived /worked in 20 years ago. Great location to launch our "trip down memory lane." Easy stroll to great Cap Hill restaurants, Potomac Ave metro and Safeway just blocks away. Fun. Would come back again.

Very enjoyable stay in a convenient location. The house is very comfortable and tastefully decorated, but be ready for some stairs. Some caution must be taken when walking at night, especially for a woman alone Great restaurants nearby at Eastern Market area, $4.50 Uber ride.

We found the property description to be right on. The outside areas are great even with continual rain we were able to use the front covered porch and able to enter under the covered walkway to the entry door. The property was clean and well equipped to fit all our needs. We did not have and did not have the need to contact the management company at all. Great location for those that like to walk and feel part of the neighborhood.

Reviewer Comments:

Pretty good spot. Great location in a really pretty neighborhood. The apt was very adequate for our needs, but a few things I did not like. I thought the living room couch was pretty cheap and uncomfortable. The beds were very average in comfort and it seemed like the sheets were pretty cheap. I'm not super picky but each person in our group felt the same way. Other than that, the apartment was terrific. The kitchen was well equipped, although I thought it was odd that they had salt but no pepper. We would love to stay there again except for the beds and the couch. Unless those changed we would look for another apt. I thought that for the price, $300/night including tax and fees, the furniture was just too uncomfortable.
