This three year old bach is only 90 minutes north of Auckland and is an ideal place to enjoy the tranquility of the Kaipara region. Situated just ten minutes from Kaiwaka with its cafes and specialty shops, you can truly get back to nature while enjoying most of the comforts of home. We are perched on top of a hill and the resulting 280degree views are amazing. Enjoy spectacular sunsets with uninterrupted rural views and peeps of the sea.
The main living space is an open plan arrangement with lounge, dining and kitchen all in one. This room opens onto a large deck where there is a BBQ area as well as outside dining and seating options. There is a sound system that just needs a stick or player to make it work. Freeview tv is available as well. The sofa folds down to make an extra bed. Off this room is one bathroom with toilet, basin and shower. The kitchen has hotplates, a microwave and a small oven. The new hooded BBQ can be used as a larger oven too. There is a large fridge/freezer and cupboards filled with all the utensils, crockery and cutlery you will need for your stay.
The middle space dual purpose ? up one end there is a single bed, storage shelves and a double pull out sofa. The other end is utility/storage space - see the photos for layout. It can be a bit cooler in here in the winter but is beautiful in summer - real indoor/outdoor flow.
At the end of the building is a large bedroom that contains a very comfortable new queen bed and desk area. It has an ensuite bathroom with shower, basin and toilet.
There is plenty of room to accommodate a trailer and a public boat ramp is only a five-minute drive away. You have a choice of three popular beaches only a short, thirty-minute drive away (Mangawhai Heads, Waipu Cove or Ruakaka). There are a couple of old clunky adult sized bikes to use so pack the kids bikes and explore the quiet country roads nearby. If that sounds like too much, take the sun-lounger to the one of the interesting garden spaces.

A really well set up bach. Very welcoming and relaxing to stay in with lots to read and beautiful country vistas
Very peaceful location. Welcoming clean and tidy bach. Lots of lovely artwork and knick knacks.
A superb place with top notch views over the much-underrated Kaipara. I ended up staying here quite a few times when my parents were over from the UK - and that's with good reason! Great spot, great value - and really worked well as a place to get over jet-lag. Highly recommended!
