4169808 - "Contemporary in Lake Access Community" sleeps 8.

3903963 - "Newer House in Lake Access Community" sleeps 14.

4169807 - "Custom House, Short walk to Beach" sleeps 10.

And one house near the center of town on Berry Pond:

3837648 - "Cabin Overlooking Berry Pond" sleeps 4.

Peter purchased this house in 2010

Why Peter chose Lake Winnipesaukee Area

This is a quaint house on 3 acres situated near where I live. It was a perfect place for me to easily rehab while still being 'home' for the kids. It has been fun restoring some of the house's mid-century character.

What makes this house unique

The house is in the woods with a view of the pond, yet within 300 yards of the Old Country Store and the town library. The driveway is about a 2/10's of a mile long providing the perfect combination of solitude and pedestrian access to Moultonboro Village.

Guestbook comments from the manager

We had a great experience at Pete and Julie's house! We walked into a clean, warm home with lots of wood for the fireplace, scads of movies to watch and a welcoming note. The location is amazing; close to the main thruway, but totally private and looks down on a beautiful lake. Just steps from the library, we were easily able to get a temp card and rent DVDs to watch during the cold evenings.Lots of hot water, all the amenities you could want for a relaxing stay. Pete brought us extra wood - a wonderful delight - and was completely accessible to us at all times. Our best AirBnb experience yet. We can wait to come back!

Relaxing and enjoyable stay

  • 5 of 5

It was so nice to wrap up our family vacation on Berry Pond. The cabin was in a great location and was very clean and comfortable. The kids loved going out in the canoe fishing and exploring the lake. We will definitely come back again next year and stay longer!

Spacious, quiet rental in a beautiful location

  • 5 of 5

This rental is wonderful. Close to civilization, but set in the woods so you feel like you're in your own beautiful section of NH wilderness. We were surrounded by fall foliage and wildlife. We didn't have a chance to really enjoy the pond, but the house is spacious, cozy, and clean. Peter was easy to contact and he really made us feel at home. I was often torn between lounging in front of the fireplace or gazing out at the pond from the porch - exactly the kind of difficult decision I was hoping for.

Very pleasant experience on Berry Pond!

  • 5 of 5

The house is immaculately restored and was spotless when we arrived. The setting is very nice with views of the pond from some windows and wooded views from all others. We saw a fox the second morning! The grounds are very well kept and inviting. The pond is small but pretty and is nice for paddling around. The location is convenient to hiking, good dining and the larger lake region. The owner was very responsive and helpful. Overall, a very pleasant experience!

A good base for the Lakes Region

  • 3 of 5

A very spacious house, although there really is only one real bedroom with an extremely comfortable queen mattress; the other bed is a futon in more of a four-season porch. It's not a particularly stylish or rustic home, so it is really just a good base if you are going to be traveling around the Lakes Region, as it's centrally located to Center Sandwich, Center Harbor, and Squam Lake, as well as numerous hiking trails. It's not on a lake, which for me would have made this a five star place to stay.

Although we did not have a chance to use the canoe, it would have been nice to canoe around Berry Pond. If you have difficulty walking, though, the walk to the pond is pretty steep. It was pleasant, but it did not knock my socks off.

The owner, Peter Velie, seems very nice and is very flexible, so I would not have any qualms about renting from him.

beautiful getaway with scenery that money cannot buy

  • 5 of 5

this place has it all no matter what you are looking for. The place is very spacious and has all the amenities that you could ever need with modern technology, a beautiful sunroom that overlooks the lake is gorgeous for sunrises. Also the owner was very friendly to deal with and handled everything professionally. The private dock with canoe made for the perfect nature lovers experience. I plan on staying here over and over again. Thanks!!
