All around, a quirky, unique, classic yet renovated 2 level Victorian Terrace/Shop Front Home (converted dwelling on CBD side of South Yarra, 200m from the wonderful Fawkner Park. If you're looking for extra living space at a budget price then this place is for you! It's stylish but not luxury

From here you can walk or short train/tram ride to some of Melbourne's finest spots, the Yarra River, the Botanical Gardens, Fed Square,the city, Southbank and more. Dine on street, people watch, enjoy fashion, glamour and style all day, every day, all year round.

Shoppings the name of the game in South Yarra, where Chapel Street reigns supreme. The fashion strip contains all manner of high-end designer boutiques, chain-stores, hipster hang-outs, cinemas and gift shops. Theres also a seemingly unlimited array of cafes and restaurants to help revive weary shoppers by day, and bars and clubs to keep the buzz going at night.

Naturally then, South Yarra attracts the young, hip and fashion conscious, at least on its main strip and the streets immediately surrounding. The residents are a mix of young professionals, families and empty nesters all attracted to this salubrious suburbs easy proximity to the city by road, rail and tramline.

The architecture is dotted with terraces and houses which reflect their Victorian heritage, and chic new apartment blocks like those which clutter Chapel Street beyond Toorak Road. If you're looking for extra living space at a budget price then this place is for you! It's stylish

The title of my review is directly quoted from the description of this property and needs to be taken seriously when choosing it. As reviewed a year ago, we had the same experience this month. When my husband and I arrived, we found the property had inadequate heat and was drafty. Alex was very helpful in moving us to another property that he manages which was much smaller but quite comfortable for two of us. The first property could be rated five stars for 6-8 young people traveling on a budget but for my husband and me, it did not suit.

Having booked this property, we were really disappointed with the actual place when we arrived as it

Having booked this property, we were really disappointed with the actual place when we arrived as it wasn't much like it had been pictured and so I spoke immediately to Alex about my issues. He went out of his way to relocate us and make the situation right and we ended up at another apartment in South Yarra which was ideally located and just perfect for the 3 of us. For this reason I wouldn't hesitate to recommend Alex as a host, he was sympathetic to our concerns and helpful and above all, treated us like we were important.

I believe the above property is being overhauled so shouldn't disappoint in the future and the place we stayed was immaculate, comfortable and a real treat to return to after a busy day. Thanks Alex, you made our stay very memorable.
