About Kelley J. Ferguson

I am from Phillipsburg, NJ but I met my wife, a Florida girl, while residing down there. A business opportunity brought us back to my hometown. I knew my wife missed the sunshine and sea air so I took her on an anniversary trip to Cape May in the middle of May many years ago. She fell in love with the area and we have faithfully returned ever since. About five years ago we decided to take our Frenchie with us on our vacations and I found the Captain's Sea Cabin online. When we arrived at the property my wife fell in love with it. She patiently pursued Capt. Frank and Betty with the possibility of owning it and now it is hers'. She is very excited to be the Florida girl who would rather live in Cape May, NJ. The legacy, of Capt. Frank and Betty, one of graciousness and hospitality is what we hope to be able to live up to. I am the president of Ferguson Containers in Phillipsburg, NJ and Kelley is on the staff at Phillipsburg Christian Academy. Our daughter, Autumn with her Maltese, Itzy, is a part time resident at our Cape May home.

Kelley J. Ferguson purchased this cabin in 2014

Why Kelley J. Ferguson chose South NJ Shore

It is a short bicycle ride to the downtown shops and beach. It is a shorter drive to pet friendly Higbee Beach, Cape May winery and Cape May National golf course.

What makes this cabin unique

The beauty of this area captured our hearts so much that we had to have a home there to enjoy it more often than just a vacation. Please come and enjoy it with us.

Perfect Vacation!

  • 5 of 5

The Captain's sea cabin is the best! It was very clean, everything was handy, close to everything in Cape May. Our two dogs loved it as well. It was so quiet and relaxing and piece of mind not worrying about our pups! Kelly and Kevin go out of their way to make your stay perfect and I mean perfect! Loved the pool as well, super clean and perfect temperature. My husband and I feel like we met new friends, they were so welcoming. Can't wait to go back! Great stay!

We'll be back!

  • 5 of 5

Our family of 6 plus 1(our dog) had a fantastic time at the Captain Sea's Cabin for our second summer vacationing in Cape May. The house is clean and has all the amenities you need for a comfortable and enjoyable stay. It is I. A convenient location to go to all the fun places in Cape May and Wildwood. My family loves to go to Higsbee Beach, Sunset Beach, The Lighthouse, Cape May beach, Washington Mall, Historical Village and the Wildwood Boardwalk. There's also a nice deck with table and chairs, a picnic table in the backyard and a grill outside. Our 50 lbs dog loves running in the big fenced in yard. After a full day at the beach, my children loves swimming in the pool. The owners Kelley and Kevin are both very nice and accommodating. We will be back again next summer!

Owner's Response: What a nice family and they left our cabin so neat and tidy. The kind of guests everyone wants to have. They also had the sweetest puppy. Can't wait for their return visit.

Great place to stay with animals

  • 5 of 5

I definitely lucked out finding this little getaway. The location may not be right on the beach but it's centrally located between everything. Meaning between 2 or 2 1/2 miles to get to Sunset Beach, Higbee Beach, Beach Drive, and the USCG base. Our dogs loved the acre fenced in yard and we didn't have to worry about them escaping. The cabin was CLEAN and located in a quiet location!!!

Owner's Response: It is always a pleasure to host such friendly, neat and tidy guests. I appreciate folks who take such good care of their puppies 😀 They were so well groomed and that is so helpful at a pet friendly place. Can't wait to have them all return to the Cabin for more fun times😀

Great Place to Stay

  • 5 of 5

Kevin, Kelley and Autumn made my first trip to Cape May a very enjoyable experience! My two friends and I were on our annual "Girl Trip." The cabin was neat, clean, refreshing and homey. We were able to watch TV and do our laundry!

We were close to the shops, restaurants and the beach; but were still "in the country" with lots of trees and no traffic noise! We had a very pleasant time this year and much of it was due to the hospitality of Kevin, Kelley and Autumn.

I'd recommend the Captain's Sea Cabin as a nice getaway -- especially those folks with pets. Thank you Kevin, Kelley and Autumn!!! Val

A Wonderful Stay in Cape May!

  • 5 of 5

We had such a great time at the Captain's Sea Cabin! Kelley was so friendly and helpful the entire stay and even gave my husband and I a bottle of wine since we were down celebrating our anniversary! Our two doggies also were given cookies upon arrival which were so cute! This is one of those places you truly want to tell all your friends and family about. The yard is HUGE (picture doesn't give it justice), the house in clean and the perfect size, and porch is large, and the house is centrally located to everything and is such a reasonable price! This place is honestly a home away from home and if I could give it more than five stars I would...I really cant wait for my husband and I to find more time off so we can plan our next stay at this lovely home! Thank you Kelley for all your kindness and making our vacation very enjoyable! Baylee and Cooper had a blast!

We are so close to so many things. We are 2 miles from: downtown Cape May, Cape May Beach, Higbee Beach and the Washington Street Mall. Close enough to the action but quiet and peaceful at the cabin when it is time to relax.

Notes:
It is almost impossible to describe the beauty of the Cape May area. The city is rich with the colors of historic victorian homes. The carriage rides, trolley tours and bicycle rentals will help you view as much of the delightful surroundings as possible during your stay. There is no Jersey shore beach that is as pristine and well cared for as the Cape May beaches. Sitting on the beach watching the porpoises play and the incredible amount of beautiful migratory birds run about, that call Cape May their Spring and Autumn stopover, is a delight. Since we are a dog friendly home we can't forget the dog friendly Higbee Beach, bordered by the Higbee Wildlife Management Area where birders enjoy the natural habitat of our famous bird life. Don't forget to stop by Sunset Beach famous for it's lovely sunsets and flag raising - lowering ceremonies. Cape May is truly a special place that every member of the family can enjoy. Please come and stay with us.
