Beautifully set up King first floor master suite, highlighted by soaring ceiling, soaking tub, and direct access to the family's private outdoor shower. Another first floor wing has a private Queen guest suite with gliding windows and shower bath. Upstairs there are two bright bedrooms: 2 twins and 1 queen bedroom with a shared bath.The furnishings are accented by wood floors, rattan, and bright walls. The kitchen is well set up for the enthusiastic chef. The dining area opens to the lovely back yard patio and gardens. You'll love the gentle summer nights dining for 8 on the comfortable stone patio. Cook your favorite dishes on the outdoor grill. While we have a great A/C system, you will enjoy the summer breeze with natural cross ventilation. Our home is complete with air conditioning, wireless internet, HD TVs, basic cable, printer/scanner/fax machine. Ferry reservations we will book for available weeks can be easily transferred for your trip. Enjoy your ideal location just minutes from South Beach and Edgartown village. Easy access to conservation properties, walking trails, and bicycle paths across the island. Take one of the bicycles out of the shed and you're on your way. Restaurants, shopping, and harbor are just a mile from our home. Everything has been done for you, just come on down and enjoy the Vineyard.

We love living on Martha's Vineyard. So our home is set up much more completely than the average rental. Caroline and Ken know the island. We can offer helpful suggestions and secret tips to make your vacation full and exciting.

Ken is a local entrepreneur has a variety of jobs in retirement. He can be found 4 days a week in the summer at his booth at any of the local flea markets. In the fall, he follows the football team's exploits on video for Island families to keep up to date on all of the games. The rest of the year, he manages estate/home sales to prepare homes for closing day. Caroline is a premier real estate agent working for Island Real Estate. To tap into her creative side, she makes Island inspired jewelry which is sold at many Island stores and Kens flea market booths. Many islanders enjoy following their winter travels to destinations near and far. Dearest to their hearts, though are their children and 3 grandchildren who just complete their lives.

Why Caroline T & Kenny G. chose Katama

This is an open, airy home with air conditioning and gorgeous yard. Caroline spends hours babying her flower gardens while Ken makes sure the lawn doesn't get overgrown. Summer always means a barbecue. We enjoy outdoor dinners cooking on the gas grill and dining on the patio.

What makes this house unique

We live in a quiet neighborhood with nice neighbors. We can walk to Edgartown Center and bicycle to South Beach or Morning Glory Farm.

We have stayed at this home for two years, and plan to vacation here as long as Caroline and Ken will rent to us. This home is in a great location — just close enough to walk to town, but far enough away that it is quiet. It’s also a very short drive or bike ride to South Beach. The home is very comfortable, warm and inviting on the inside as well as outside for my family of 5. The yard and patio are truly beautiful. The kitchen is very well-appointed, which is important to me and my family.

Caroline and Kenny are wonderful landlords. Very fair, honest and just plain nice. I would highly recommend this vacation home without any hesitation.

We start the season with 7 beach chairs and umbrella. Owner does not guarantee any certain number because of breakage during the season. Large Cooler and small beach grill provided. 3 boogie boards, noodles, some beach toys and back yard games - croquet and jarts.

A beautiful, clean home with central ai

We thoroughly enjoyed our time in your beautiful home on the island and were extremely comfortable. We had absolutely everything we needed. Your yard was gorgeous and at times the kids just wanted to hang out and play games on the grass instead of trekking around the island. The location was perfect to get into town and to the beach. The kids could bike to town for ice cream and it was even an easy ride to South Beach. Everyone was extremely pleased, comfortable and happy. We have never rented the same house twice would certainly come back to this house. Thanks again for letting us rent your home it was a very memorable week

lovely, peaceful and comfortable

I had the opportunity to stay in this lovely home last summer for a week in early August. The house is very clean, spacious, and comfortable, with provision for every necessity--even an outdoor shower and patio dining set. The large back yard includes a spectactular garden and artistic grassy areas; you can tell the owner has a degree in landscape architecture. It is easy to while away a few hours in the evening sitting on the patio with a glass of wine watching the hummingbirds enjoy the flowers. In more energetic moments, we biked into town for ice cream and out to the beaches--which are both an easy, flat ride away. The house is in a very quiet neighborhood, but close to restaurants, shopping, and all types of summer activities. The owner is also a great resource; as Vineyard resident for over 40 years, there are few residents, activity opportunities, or amenities on the island that are unknown to her.
