Photos and Description of this Carrabassett Valley holiday chalet

5 bedrooms/2 bathrooms, close to all local activities! Private setting!

This secluded ski chalet is located 6 miles south of Sugarloaf mountain. It features 5 bedrooms, 2 bathrooms, a living room, dining area and large entryway for your ski gear. The home has a washer and dryer and is pet friendly. Cable and wireless internet are just a few of the amenities. Relax with friends in the large living room in front of the wood burning fireplace. When staying at Sugarloaf, the choice comes down to 'on mountain' or 'off mountain'. Off mountain is much more cost efficient in terms of space, rooms and amenities. We are located off mountain on Rt. 27 approximately 1.5 miles south of Ayotte's Country Store, just 6 miles south of Sugarloaf. Tuffulio's restaurant and bar is nearby. You don't need to be on the mountain to enjoy everything that goes on in Carrabassett Valley. The Sugarloaf Outdoor Center is 5 minutes away where you can enjoy x-country skiing, skating, hockey and snowshoeing. Don't forget to check out the new Sugarloaf Zip Line that was installed last fall. An excellent location for all winter activities. You are close to the Narrow Gauge Pathway where you can hike, bike or go for long scenic walks. In the summer time enjoy the Carrabassett pool which also features a tennis court, playground, basketball court and steps away from some favorite local swimming holes in the Carrabassett River. You are close to the ITS trail. You are minutes away from the new Maine Trails & Hut System which offers some awesome hiking and walking along the Carrabassett River. Whether your bringing a fishing pole or your skis, this location is perfect for your next vacation.

Everything about this house was fantastic. Plenty of space for the 9 people that came. Very close to Sugarloaf. Was a great place to stay and ski!

Excellent experience.

  • 5 of 5

It was better than we anticipated. Plenty of room for all guests. Comfortable accommodations. Kids room worked very well. Exceptional kitchen. Warm, efficient woodstove. Systems and cabin aesthetic was high quality. Great location for biking, skiing to Maine Huts and Trails facilities. Everyone smiling at the end of this trip. We'll be back.

Great House!

  • 5 of 5

The cabin was perfect for our weekend stay in carrabassett valley. It easily accommodated our large group of 8 adults, 3 kids, and 2 dogs. The cabin was exactly as described, very clean, comfortable, and close to hiking, fishing, sugarloaf. The property manager was also great to work with, with very fast replies to all inquiries. We would definitely consider staying at this cabin again in the future.

Amazing, Comfortable, Spotless and Cozy!!!

  • 5 of 5

Our NYC family of 6 and our friends family of 3 plus large hound had a wonderful stay for 10 days in this great home. You will find anything you need to cook and be plenty comfortable. The beds are all inviting and bathrooms well set. The wood burning stove makes it a cozy room and it's spacious. Our family and friends highly recommend this home for your staying in this lovely area. Just a short drive to the mountain. Can't wait to come back for some spring skiing and a summer visit as well. Gorgeous spot!
