Why Grant chose Blakeslee

With a long family history right here in the Stoddartsville / Blakeslee area, dating back to the early 1800's, I feel very privileged for the opportunity to be a good steward of the land and share it with those who appreciate all nature has to offer. With the Lehigh River flowing by, I have not found a place more peaceful than right here in Stoddartsville. The air is clean and crisp and the sounds of the river flowing by allow you to truly recharge and getaway from the rush of daily life.

What makes this cabin unique

The views of the Lehigh River from the cabin are spectacular year-round. The privacy offered by this unique setting creates a true escape from the stresses of daily life. Originally built in 1911 and used as a prop in a silent movie in 1917, this cabin has been completely renovated and upgraded with all the modern amenities while maintaining the charm you would expect of a cabin in the mountains.

You must experience it for yourself to truly appreciate all that the Lehigh Cabin has to offer!

Warm and cozy

  • 5 of 5

This was the nicest cabin I've ever stayed at. Loved everything about it. Very clean and comfortable. We enjoyed the fire place as it was a rainy kind of day. We did get out and explored some of the history. Very beautiful. So glad I found this cabin on line, it was perfect for our little honeymoon get away.

Also we are very thankful Grant was only a phone call away and helped us to find the cabin as we arrived later in the night then expected. THANK YOU so much. We hope to return when we can stay longer.

Great Cabin! Nice for a Romantic Getaway

  • 4 of 5

It's a charming cabin, really nice and nestled along the edge of a river. I would have given it a five out of five but what threw me off from its charm is the spiders and the webs. They are not huge but there are definatly more than a few that caught me off guard. I don't want it to take away how great the place is because it really is nice. I wasn't sure if that's normal since we are in the woods but it made me a little uncomfortable. If I could range the amount that were there it would be a 4 out of 10. Other than the webs and spiders that could have innocently missed by the cleaners the rest of the place was pretty spotless.

quiet, secluded cottage

  • 5 of 5

If you are looking for quiet and tranquil getaway, then this could be the place for you. With a small patio area overlooking the Lehigh river, this made for a memorable experience. The cottage was rather small, and the couch next to the large fireplace was not very accommodating. But the queen sized bed was very comfortable. Overall, the place was clean. The kitchen was adequate with a small fridge, a microwave and electric frying pan. The house has Wifi and a small TV with several cable channels. All in all, we had a really nice time in this private location...

Absolutely beautiful!

  • 4 of 5

Perfect size cabin for my husband, pooch & I. Loved the views and sound of the river.

The only reason for 4 stars is that the bed seemed to sag in the middle and with the head & foot board the full size mattress felt smaller than usual. My husband is 5'10" and I am 5'6". If there wasn't a foot board we think we would have slept a little better if our feet could hang off the end. Just a suggestion.

Otherwise all was as expected and neat & clean.
