Cottage, 2 Bedrooms + Loft, 1.5 Baths (See Deborah's Guesthouses for more)
As a flight attendant, I stay in quality hotels almost every week... so cleanliness is very important to me. If you call and my phone is off, I'm probably on the airplane or in Germany--But I will call you back in 1-3 days--or email me, I'm often connected to the internet. I moved to Petersburg in 1998 for the country setting, which was still only 25 minutes from downtown Cincinnati, and 13 miles from the Cincinnati airport (CVG). Petersburg has only about 300 residents, not counting the cows at the one end of town. It's not unusual to hear the clop-clop-clop of horses' hooves as they ride down the street. The first time I drove into town, the winding road reminded me of driving in the Italian Alps. Since I travel for a living, I was delighted to find my own 'Mayberry' with a touch of Italy.
Deborah purchased this Cottage in 2003
What makes this Cottage unique
The vacation home is located one block from the community center, which has a playground available to all, as well as basketball hoops and a ball diamond. There's a small park on the river's edge, as well as access to the river itself for kayaking, fishing, canoeing, etc. Our tiny post office is 2 blocks from the house, and if you like walking, it's exactly one mile around town. 6 miles away is the historic Dinsmore Homestead, and across from Dinsmore is Middle Creek Park (Boone County), which is great for hiking. About 13 miles away is Rabbit Hash, KY, which has a wonderful old general store. (Google any of these attractions for more info.)

Nice quiet area, cottage clean and comfortable
Great place for families, beautiful interior, romantic glass ceiling-bedroom, everything extraordinarily clean, great upstairs room for kids/adults who like a camping-like atmosphere.. great location, near Ohio river, great adjacent towns with dining..
Linda and I have stayed here twice. at The Bank three times.. love it!!
Perfect little cottage
Our family of 7 stayed here while visiting the creation museum and the Ark. And counter. It was an adorable little cottage with a feel of stepping back in time yet a lot of upgraded modern conveniences. Loved the hardwood floors and the touch from yesteryear throughout the house and all the cozy little nooks.
Deborah was a perfect innkeeper and was easy to communicate with. Everything was spotless and clean and a pleasant smell to the home... we hope to come here again sometime! Only a couple blocks from the Ohio river where our son enjoyed fishing.
Quaint house in quiet historical town
The house was clean and had everything we needed including coffee filters, a few spices, sugar for coffee. It was in close proximity to the Creation Museum and 45 min. to the Ark Encounter. My husband loved driving the road down into Petersburg, hairpin turn and tight curves.🙂 Had coffee out on the deck atop the garage each morning. You may want to put the deck chairs in at night cause the heavy dew each morning leaves them wet. We bought groceries in the Kroger's in Hebron and used the grill at the house. Be sure to use the keychain discount card for Kroger's located on the house key in the welcome book. It saved us money on groceries. Walked around the town each evening and chatted with whoever we met. All in all we had a good time and would definitely stay again if in the area.
Cute little cottage. Liked it very much!
There were 7 of us on this trip and plenty of space. The house was comfortable, clean, inviting and full of charm. Well stocked with kitchen needs, bathroom needs and linens. Washer and dryer was nice as well. Neighborhood was quiet and welcoming. Would recommend this home to anyone.
Located 3 blocks from Ohio River access, 5 miles from Creation Museum.
