This apartment is one of three in an old home. There is a bus stop in front of it with limited street parking on only one side. The kitchen is nicely furnished but we had trouble sleeping on the rock hard bed with poor pillows. The owner may want to invest in a foam matress topper and better pillows.
Hi. We were visiting our son who lives in Lawrenceville, PA and seeing the Pittsburgh sights. The apartment was just perfect for what we wanted to do. Close enough to everything, but far enough from the city when we needed down time. The neighborhood was safe, the bus was close if we needed it, and there was an excellent Thai restaurant right across the street. We loved the little amenities provided: keurig, kcups, china, sleep number bed, etc. We felt very at home there. The only "complaint" was that the porch, and everything on it, needed a good cleaning. We cleaned the table, but the floor was beyond what we had equipment for. We weren't on the porch that often so it wasn't a real issue and certainly didn't detract from the overall experience. We would love to stay there again for our next Pittsburgh visit!
We had a very nice stay in this place. It had everything we needed for a pleasant stay. There was a bus stop right out front and we went to a Pirates game.
Location was very good. The place was very clean and had everything we needed. People we worked with were very helpful. Safe neighborhood and friendly people. Great restaurants in the area and a bus right outside the front door to take you to Pittsburgh. Only concern was that the garbage cans were full and no where to out garbage except on the porch which attracted flies.
We attended the Bantam Heritage Jeep Festival at Cooper's lake campground in Butler and had an amazing time.
We rented the appartment in Bellevue not realising how far it was from the festival.
Once we got there and saw it, we were happy to see how nice it was.
It was so nice that we didnt mind driving the extra miles every day between Bellevue and Butler.
Driving a topless Jeep helps as well :)
We were very comfortable in the appartment. Almost everything needed was provided. We really appreciated that there was coffee and spices in the appartment wich made our mornings more enjoyable and our meals tasty.
We also appreciated the outdoor space and used it every day. I believe we were the first ones using the patio set and BBQ this season since we had to do a major spring cleaning in order to be able to use it.
We left the place in the same state as we found it but we couldn't sweep the floors. We couldnt find a broom. It might be a good idea to leave one on site. Especially for renters that stay for a few days.
We broke one glass and tried to pick up the broken pieces as much as we could with paper towells but there might be small pieces left on the right side of the bed under the window. Sorry!
We also left a few things for the next renters.
Butter in freezer
And a few vodka coolers (couldnt bring them back to Canada so hope someone will enjoy them)
The case of empties is in a cupbord beside the dishwasher.
If every renters leave a few usefull non perishable things in the appartment for the next renters we thonk that this makes it better for each renters and help your place get good reviews. It is very comfortable and enjoyable.
We noticed a few things that might need your attention to keep the quality of you place as high as it already is.
We recommend adding chair legs protective pads to protect the beautiful wooden floor from scratches.
You should tighten the table legs. They are really loose and its making the table unstable. We would of done it but didn't have our tools with us. We dont usually carry them around on vacation.
Check the freezer, there was a serious accumulation of water/ice at the bottom of it and it was leaking into the fridge.
We had to leave a towell in the fridge to absorbe the water.
Over all you have a beautifull place, in a great area. loved our stay
My wife and I arrived here on a misty Saturday evening, just before dark. I think the only problem that we had came in the first half hour of our visit. That was getting the living room TV up and running with a handful of remotes that were in a basket. A quick text to our contact for the property, Bob, and we were set straight. We didn't drive to Pittsburgh to watch TV, so that was just a small early issue..........The apartment itself was really nice and there was an abundance of towels, storage space, Keurig coffee, just as the property description and previous reviews had indicated.
This visit was the second leg of our 20th anniversary trip and did not disappoint. Bob had suggested Uber for transportation as an alternative to the public transit system that stops directly in front of the house. Uber was a godsend, cheap, fast, and efficient. We used the service into the city, hung out in some cool places, then were on the way "home" with a couple pushes of the phone. Back at the apartment, we tuned into the Classic Rock on the Music Choice channel and just enjoyed being "home". My wife, Tammy, didn't divert from normal as she was able to wash clothes here and was picking up like it was our own place. I really hated to leave here.
The biggest issue for Tammy was the porch. We are Southerners and love sitting on the porch, watching cars go by and people walk. This was ideal for that, but the indoor/outdoor rug had collected quite a bit of particles and needed a sweeping. Tammy would have been okay with doing that, but there was not anything available to clean the porch surface. That was just a minor issue and would return here with a quickness when the Braves come back to play the Pirates.
