We stayed at this apartment for a weekend in the city to go to the Penguins and Steelers game. Normally we would stay downtown but everything was booked. We were pleasantly surprised with this apartment! It is a great price and good location. We used Uber to go into the city and worked out great. We likely will stay here in the future instead of staying downtown!
This place is as advertised. We spent a week here, came into town to see The Steelers. It's a 10 minute to downtown. We ate at the Rusty Nail almost everyday, which is a mile away in Bellevue. Everything was very clean and comfortable. We will
Be back next year!
This is the second time we have stayed at this location. It is so convenient to visit our son and his family and is the perfect size for my husband and I. Everything is very comfortable. Remember to bring your personal soap for the shower as that is not provided. As I mentioned in my earlier review, there is someone who lives upstairs and if you are a light sleeper or stay up late, you may hear him come in around 11:30 pm. I wasn't disturbed but one night my husband was awakened by what he said sounded like the guy kicking his shoe across the floor. Other than that, this place is great!
The location was perfect for us. Just a short 15 minute drive to downtown Pittsburgh. The house itself was perfect for just 2 of us. The only three things to mention are the pillows were horrible, and the Windows let in a bit of noise from the street , and you can hear the upstairs neighbors (when they were home). Recommendations for food: Luigi's & Joe's Rusty Nail.
This apartment is one of three in an old home. There is a bus stop in front of it with limited street parking on only one side. The kitchen is nicely furnished but we had trouble sleeping on the rock hard bed with poor pillows. The owner may want to invest in a foam matress topper and better pillows.
Hi. We were visiting our son who lives in Lawrenceville, PA and seeing the Pittsburgh sights. The apartment was just perfect for what we wanted to do. Close enough to everything, but far enough from the city when we needed down time. The neighborhood was safe, the bus was close if we needed it, and there was an excellent Thai restaurant right across the street. We loved the little amenities provided: keurig, kcups, china, sleep number bed, etc. We felt very at home there. The only "complaint" was that the porch, and everything on it, needed a good cleaning. We cleaned the table, but the floor was beyond what we had equipment for. We weren't on the porch that often so it wasn't a real issue and certainly didn't detract from the overall experience. We would love to stay there again for our next Pittsburgh visit!
