Perfect Romantic Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The pictures and description do not do the property justice. Place was extremely clean, well equipped and wonderfully warm and comfortable. The decorating is very tasteful and they have done wonders with a small space. The view perched above a bend in the Lehigh River is beautiful. We saw a bald eagle soar by just before we left. We plan on returning for each of the four seasons. Shopping for whatever you need is minutes away.

Peaceful and Relaxing

  • 4 of 5

Very relaxing stay even though the weather did not cooperate. Great view of the Lehigh from screened in porch.. Tastefully decorated. The only negative was a terrible odor from the fireplace, Strong smell. Our clothes still retained the odor when we got home. Possibly a previous tenant did not know how to build a fire correctly. (we did not use the fireplace) Otherwise stay was enjoyable.

Perfect! .... just what the doctor ordered.

  • 5 of 5

This is exactly what I needed. My doctor and a trip to the ER this week suggested, that I take a break. That’s what I did. I found this beautiful cottage Wednesday afternoon and Thursday we were on our way. For me, this was a perfect way to disconnect from work life; no emails, texts or phone calls for a few days. (even though there was signal and an internet connection at the Lodge)

The Lodge was beautiful, cozy and comfortable. Perfect size for my wife and I, and our little wire fox terrier ... she loved the screened in porch.

It has everything you need, so you don’t have bring a small portion of your house on vacation. Clean and beautiful white sheets and towels. Dishes and glassware for four. It even has soaps in the bathroom and kitchen. The only thing that could suggest, is that there could be some window treatments on the kitchen windows. When the sun is setting in the afternoon, it can get warm in the kitchen. Blinds or shades would be a nice feature for the kitchen.

Our favorite time was sitting inside the screened in porch from morning til night. Listening to the river flow by, seeing the many birds that live in the brush or catching a glimpse of the bald eagle every morning flying over the river in search of his next meal.

I think this is our new favorite rental spot! We will definitely come back for another stay at the Lehigh Lodge and I won’t need a doctor to tell me to get away.

lovely stay in cozy cabin

  • 5 of 5

Our family of four spent our two-night getaway cozied up in the cabin playing cards, board games, and reading by the fire. We also enjoyed bundling up with blankets and hanging out together, or reading alone/together and listening to the water out on the screened in patio. We enjoyed a nice, refreshing, wintery hike at Blakeslee (although we hadn't quite packed properly, will pack 2 pairs of sneakers next time, or even snow boots!) It was nice that Wawa, CVS were only a short drive away. Our children remarked, on the morning of our departure, that they hadn't even noticed the tv had been there the whole time! The children have asked us to book again immediately for a future visit haha and would have loved to have been able to fish, were it a bit more mild. We hope to visit again!

Absolutely Mesmerizing

  • 5 of 5

The Lehigh Lodge was the first time I ever booked a place to stay at and it was the best decision ever. This small and beautiful lodge has everything you will need to have a great getaway into the mountains. All the necessities that were included were a pleasant surprise. Every room provided a calm and relaxing home atmosphere during our stay.

I will recommend this place to everyone I know.
