Perfect Romantic Getaway

  • 5 of 5

The pictures and description do not do the property justice. Place was extremely clean, well equipped and wonderfully warm and comfortable. The decorating is very tasteful and they have done wonders with a small space. The view perched above a bend in the Lehigh River is beautiful. We saw a bald eagle soar by just before we left. We plan on returning for each of the four seasons. Shopping for whatever you need is minutes away.

Immaculate stay

  • 5 of 5

This quaint historic cabin sits on well manicured grounds overlooking the Lehigh River. The cabin is clean and well kept, with fully stocked kitchenware, beautifully furnished plus authentic history pieces scattered about. Very cabin-cozy atmosphere, everything you could ask for in a stay away from home. Just bring yourself, food and toiletries, and you're all set. Updated with modern touches, sliders, windows, kitchen, and bath. Queen bed in one room, two twins in the other. There's a gorgeous screen porch across the entire back of the house overlooking the grounds and river, with relaxing wicker furniture, and a table and chairs set for enjoying coffee. We were also able to take our well behaved Australian Shepherd on vacation with us, and the house was perfect for him. He had plenty of yard to explore, a beautiful screened porch to nap on, and trails and river to explore at the nearby Austin T. Blakeslee Nature Area! We will certainly be back to spend more relaxing time in this wonderful cabin.

It's a nice quiet place to relax and refresh the mind.

  • 3 of 5

The property is nice and clean. The area is very quiet, and very few people around. The lodge is modernized. It had heat for the chilly nights we had. I didn't use the fire place. The mattresses need an upgrade. They hurt my back . And the shower is a bit too small. However the view of the river in the back is beautiful, we loved to sit on the back porch and watch the water. My dog enjoyed running around outside. I didn't see any wildlife, except for birds. Overall I think it's a nice weekend getaway. But I wouldn't stay more than 3 days.

Relaxing, quiet, getaway.

  • 5 of 5

This is a wonderful place to stay for a relaxing getaway. The only noise is the sound of the river tumbling over the stones and the birds in the trees. You can sit on the screened in porch which faces the river. On a cool evening, the fireplace heats the house and adds to the ambiance. The home is clean and the beds are comfortable. We plan to return in the near future. Thanks for having such a great place to stay.

Perfect Ladies Getaway

  • 5 of 5

What a beautiful place to relax! The accommodations were perfect for the three of us. The lodge was adorable and very clean with comfortable furniture and beds. The scenery was spectacular with the river running through the back yard! It was very calming when sitting on the large covered back porch. There were lots of trails to hike, otherwise, we would have never left the house. We enjoyed hanging out and cooking in. We loved our stay and are talking about returning in the Fall. I highly recommend this place! Oh, and the family who manages the property is so nice and very friendly. Book now!
