The house is definitely warm and cozy - just like its name. It is located in a nice community of well maintained cabins. It is close to the Big Bear Ski facility and some great sled runs located on state park land.
The owners have thought of everything. The house comes fully equipped toilette paper, soap, and towels, etc. The washer and dryer were very useful. There is a boot room where we were able to dry off after playing in the snow.
The kitchen was well equipped with modern appliances. We ate all our meals in the kitchen ... and that worked well.
The living room is roomy enough to accommodate all of us (8 people) without feeling cramped. The Wi-Fi worked well and we enjoyed Netflix and also Cable TV at night when we wanted to relax. The fireplace is gas can be used without wood or logs. The living room has lots of windows and we could see snow flakes fall outside as the snow storm descended on Big Bear.
The upstairs day room is also very spacious. The pool table upstairs was really nice. There is a reading table there as well as a dedicated Chess table. I enjoy playing chess, and this table was great. The upstairs has windows which made it light and bright.
The beds in the bedrooms were very comfortable ... there was plenty of room for our things ... and ample closet space. There are lots of windows to see out. The bedroom downstairs would be good for guests that can't climb stays. I am starting to have knee problems, and my wife and I used the lower bedroom.
I would definitely recommend the house to anyone visiting Big Bear for all ages. It is a wonderful cabin!
