Nestled on the back road in the country, this beautiful home is conveniently located close to the mountain and local stores, but still in the country allowing you to enjoy the serenity of mother nature. Being locals born and raised we have the insight to make your vacation unique and unforgettable, tell me your interests and I can help you plan your stay. From hidden treasures of the natural formed caves to the wonders of the "balanced rock" only 5miles away on a dirt road high in the mountain side a huge boulder atop a small rock balancing on the edge for centuries. A place my mom and dad took me when I was a child and I now bring my own children there.

What makes this house unique

Beautiful natural waterfalls right in the town of Troy, crossing over one of the few remaining covered bridges, to two of the most wonderful sights. The "big falls" is a picture perfect appox. 100 foot waterfall that you can view within a 2min. walk from the main road. This is not a safe swimming area as the waterfall is very powerful, however if you travel down the road to the "little falls" this is where you can go swimming or fishing with a short walk down into the woods you will find yet another natural wonder, secluded nestle in the valley. This waterfall you can not only swim to but you can actual go behind it and stand on the edge, adult supervision advised!!! For leaf peepers this is a must see!!!

This play can sleep 6+ adults very comfortably. It's very tidy, close to jay, and the soaking tub is great after a day of skiing.

Comfortable & Picturesque Getaway!

This vacation home made our weekend getaway a treasure we will remember. I stayed here with my family of four (including two children under 3), plus my brother & sister-in-law. We all found this house to be lovely & charming, not to mention clean, warm, well appointed with amenities, and even kid friendly with our little ones. The kids loved taking their nightly baths in the massive soaking tub, and the double shower was a refreshing way to start the day. The kitchen was modern and functional for the six of us, and the leather reclining sofas in the living room were to die for. My personal favorite was watching the pair of horses next door with my morning coffee. We were so delighted to stay off the mountain during our trip to Jay - the daily drive was so picturesque, and we were happy to support the super-friendly local homeowners while enjoying some quiet evenings away from the hustle and bustle. The owners gave us a delicious bottle of wine for our stay, and even went out of their way to sand the slippery driveway (thanks, rain and ice) during our stay. We would absolutely stay here again if we find our way in this area in the future. Thank you for the fabulous weekend!

Very nice house that offers great amenities

Great place with energy efficiency - much appreciated in winter! - and attention to details. We were greeted by the host with a delivery of home eggs, fridge full of local beer and Lindt chocolate on the table. The host is extremely responsive, which again is much appreciated.

Overall, very beautiful and functional house great for 5, maybe 6 people comfortable stay (unless you like sleeping on the sofas/floor). We enjoyed it a lot! Highly recommended. About 20 minutes to Jay Peak resort, 5 minutes to groceries. If in doubt, rent here!

Perfect Spot to Enjoy Northern Vermont

My husband and I brought five kids (ages 10 - 19) to this property for a ski weekend at Jay Peak. We lucked out and had fabulous weather for skiing. Even though we woke up to extreme cold outside on our last morning, it was toasty warm inside this very comfortable, modern and family friendly home. This is an exceptionally well built house with incredible insulation and all the modern conveniences one could ask for in the middle of the most spectacular Northern Vermont surroundings close to a popular ski and summer resort area. The owner went out of her way to make our stay just perfect. Maple syrup, chocolate, local craft beer, and wine awaited us and when I called her on our way up and realized we didn't have any eggs or milk (and the local stores were closed), she brought them to us when she let us into the house. She even mailed us a shirt that we left behind! The bathroom is actually bigger than you imagine when looking at the pictures. We didn't have time to use the hot tub but it looked brand new. The house was spotless and the beds were comfortable. I liked the open kitchen/LR layout. I highly recommend this place to other groups. Don't miss the new water park at Jay Peak - it's fantastic. We would not hesitate to rent this property again.

The home was beautiful. The owner greeted us w/beverages, beautiful basket, & maple syrup. Wow! The home was clean and extremely warm and comfortable. Went skiing everyday. Best feature of the home was the heated floors, which were great to walk on after a cold day of skiing.Plus the home owner is such a great person, so welcoming, great to talk to and had given us wonderful ideas of places to go. I highly recommend staying at this home. Can't say enough about how great our stay was.

Clean, nicely finished, not built as a ski house

The property was immaculately clean, newly built with high quality furnishings. It worked well for us and our group and the owner left welcome gifts for us such as beer, wine and maple syrup which was really thoughtful. The bathroom was particularly nice with a giant tub and double shower. The property is also well insulated so was lovely and warm after a day on the mountain. However, this house was originally intended for the owner to live in and is definitely not designed as a ski house. There is nowhere to store gear or hang up wet ski clothes and the kitchen lacked some basic utensils. Also, you can't get any moisture on the floors. If you rent this house you have to be prepared to be careful and follow the rules, the owner will probably check in on you at some point during your stay. It worked well for us though.

We also have an auction house right in Westfield only 4miles from the house. Degrees Auction House has weekly Auctions on furniture, automobiles, tractor equipment, guns, rifles, and hunting gear.

Brault's Market right in the center of the town of Troy is our local slaughter house selling fresh local meat cut to order. Also sells the best beef jerky around. Its a must for the best steak dinner on the grill.
