Our family of 6 adults and 7 children arrived on a rainy Saturday. The owner was putting the finishing touches on the weekly turnover and stayed to show us around the property. Although the weather outside was lousy, inside the the house was very clean and inviting. The lower entrance opened into a game room with sofas, pool table/air hockey table and flat screen t.v.
There was plenty of room for people to spread out and stay entertained while waiting for the gloomy weather to pass. Off the game room was a full bath and bedroom. which slept two comfortably.
Up a flight of stairs was the main living area with lots of seating and cable t.v. In the back was a full kitchen and separate dining area with a half bath. The floor above had the three main bedrooms, all spacious and the convenience of a full bath and separate laundry area which is a great convenience when you have a gang of kids with you.
The loft area 1 floor up had enough room to sleep 6 kids with room for more.
Outside, there was a large deck with screened in area and down a short flight of stairs off the deck was a fire pit with plenty of seating.
The walk to the community pool was less than two minutes. The whole area is well kept with plenty of seating. The beach is a 5 minute drive and has a club house with changing area and lots of parking.
Overall the place is a great value for the money, especially if you are with a large group.
The house is VERY comfortable with plenty of space for everyone to spread out. The configuration of the house is perfect for a large group and has tons of seating options. The kids had a blast with the air-hockey table and enjoyed their own space in the basement living area; while the adults enjoyed a kid-free seating area to relax after long days skiing (Shawnee Peak is less than 5 minutes away!) The mudroom was perfect for all our boot bags & skis and the glove/mitten racks were amazing for drying out our gear. Kitchen was a bit small, but we were aware of that from the pictures. Plenty of dishes, glasses, utensils, pots, pans, etc. The only thing I couldn’t find was a grater which really wasn’t a big deal. The bedrooms were all clean and the mattresses were comfortable. Andy was amazing to deal with and answered all or our questions immediately. He was an absolute pleasure to deal with!
We hope to return in the future!
I can't say enough about this wonderful vacation home. My family, including 8 adults and 6 children had a great week. The pictures don't do this house justice. It is huge!!!! Four full floors of living with plenty of space for all 14 of us. Great yard, deck and large fire pit area. The community pool is a 1 minute walk away and very we'll cared for. The house was clean and in great condition. Thanks for an awesome vacation.
This home was spacious and clean. The linens were provided which was great! There a washer and dryer, a pool table, hardwood floors and room for lots of people to sleep. An easy walk to the pool and two minute car ride to the lake. It had a large deck, grill, fire pit and plenty of room for the eight of us to stretch out. The town fifteen minutes to the left had cute little shops and restaurants and the town to the right, just twenty minutes to New Hampshire had outlets, Starbucks, and the entrance to beautiful White Mountains National
Park. Portland and Freeport are easy day trips as well. This had everything we were looking for as it was large, secluded, private but convenient to everything. Though we went in summer, I noticed the ski resort was five minutes away so I'm guessing it is perfect in the winter as well. We want to make this a yearly destination. The owner was easily accessible and left clear directions about all the amenities. Highly recommend!
We all thoroughly enjoyed our stay at this beautiful house! It is located in an area that Is within a reasonable driving distance to shopping, dining, and sightseeing-something for everyone. The house feels homey and welcoming with plenty of space to spread out!! We will definitely consider returning!!!
What I didn't expect was 4 floors of fabulousness!! This home is perfect for a 2 or 3 family getaway. Shawnee Peak is literally around the corner. At night you can see the lights on the slopes through the backyard! There was a ton of room for spreading out and plenty of seating area for gathering together. Plenty of parking and a great backyard for romping around apres ski...for those left with energy! The kitchen had tons of cook wear, no need to bring a thing! The hosts supplied almost everything you would need. My only complaint was not being able to use the fireplace (which we knew ahead of time) and no dishwasher. However, Andy graciously offered to supply a temporary dishwasher if I wanted....I turned it down and just used mostly paper plates. There is also a fire pit out back if you really wanted a fire! Other than that, I would definitely return to this home for another vacation! Thanks Andy!
