About this property

Charming and calm 2/3 bedroom apartment in the Latin Quarter

The perfect choice for a family or group of friends wanting to get a feel of Paris

This traditional Haussmann building is located by the Jardin des Plantes in the Latin Quarter, a safe and friendly district of Paris. This classic apartment has the great advantage of having 3-bedrooms, making it ideal for a family or group of friends. It has all the typically Parisian features such as a living room with marble fireplace, large mirror and parquet floors. The master bedroom is spacious with a charming balcony with wrought iron railings, overlooking the quiet courtyard – an ideal place for parents to enjoy a quiet breakfast in the sun. Plus there is also a roomy twin bedroom and a single. The bathroom is practical and fitted with a bathtub. The kitchen is colorful, compact and fully equipped.
Fantastic for families or groups wanting intimacy and privacy.

Central, clean apartment and conveniently located
Thank you for letting us stay at your apartment. The apartment is very conveniently located, close to a Metro station and walking distance from several tourist attractions. The apartment was very clean and spacious enough. The only quirk about the apartment is that the bath is in the kitchen (behind swing doors,) this was not a problem for our family, but might be if you share the apartment with non family members. Overall, we loved our stay at Jardin des Plantes.

Not so nice Paris
And they say that photos don't lie... A combination of a clever photo shoot and the old adage that you get what you pay for bit us with this one. I was expecting small and quaint but the online photos are very misleading. It is actually fairly spacious compared to some of our other apartments on our trip (for a family of four) until you start looking at the kitchen and bathroom. Quite frankly I don’t think you could call it a kitchen, it was more like a closet. My kids called it a dump, and I have to agree. It needed renovating 30 years ago. I am not kidding when I say that my teenager cried her eyes out the first night. We tried as much as possible not to spend any time in what we dubbed “the ugly apartment”. Cons: - Needed renovating 30 years ago. - The Agency can be somewhat unreliable when you contact them for simple things like the address of the property. - Don't plan on cooking. The kitchen is little better than a shoe box. No oven, no dishwasher, miniscule preparation area. Hard to even prepare breakfast. Considering the expense of eating out as a family in Paris this was very disappointing. - Very noisy from apartments upstairs and also from others coming up and down the stairs. Please note that the main door to the apartment complex is straight below the apartment. - The furniture is rubbish odds and ends from Op shops. Wires were hanging out of walls. - The bathroom is not just small, it is almost unusable. I actually considered not having a shower for the whole time we were there... - Forget about using Bedroom 3 as the mattress has entirely had it and it is right above the main door to the apartment complex. - Don’t count on the curtains blocking much light, clearly they weren’t purchased to fit the windows. Renters please beware! Don't be fooled by the earlier positive reviews. Pros (for the brave): - Clean. - Most beds are fairly ok. - Location is fairly convenient to major sights and it is close to the Metro, closest being Place Monge which is 2 minutes walk and it is very close to the Natural History Museum and Zoo. There are a range of nearby local delis and supermarkets, but the agency direct you to ones further away for some reason. - Secure and private. Give it a miss.

Great Location
We loved our stay at Rue Larrey. The location was centrally located you can easily walk to Luxembourg Gardens, the Pantheon, Notre-Dame, Jardin de Plantes, and much more. The metro and bus stops are right out the front door as well as the open-air market, a delicious boulangerie, two cafes, and so much more. The apartment was large and comfortable. The shower is a hand-held shower head. There is no oven but there is a stove and microwave. The management staff were very helpful, quick to respond and very friendly. The neighborhood is lively. The reason I'm giving it four stars rather than five is the shower was a bit tricky with that hand-held shower head, other than that everything was great.

This is a wonderful and roomy apartment in a great part of Paris. Just loved staying there!
All the apartment arrangements were straightforward and clear, no hassles at at. The managers helped instantly with every little problem that arose during my stay. The fifth arrondissement is a beautiful part of Paris, close the the Jardin des plantes, the grande mosque, the exotic medieval street Rue Mouffetard, an ancient Roman arena, and much more. The apartment is roomy, clean, and all my neighbors were friendly.
