RENOVATED!!!! Blue Sky Cave House is located in the middle of the traditional village of OIA, perched on the cliff, only 2 minutes away from the main path, where cafes, restaurants and shops are placed. Also it takes 7 minutes walking distance to reach the main square where you can find the taxi and bus terminal.
The cave-house is on the ground floor and the studio is on the top floor (rented separate). The place was built in a traditional way and combines the old architecture of the Cycladic villages with all the modern conveniences in a very private and secluded area.
The cave house has a bedroom with a double bed ,a living room with 2 sofa beds ,a private fully equipped kitchen ,a private bathroom with shower and a private veranda with perfect view to the sea ,the volcano ,the caldera and the traditional village of Oia.
Facilities: Fully equipped kitchen, CD player, WiFi, veranda equipped with patio furniture.
Services: cleaning service and bath towels and sheets changed every third day; porter service, car or bike rental on request, booking local island tours, transfers on request
Oia is the most pincturesque village in Santorini, with the white houses perched on the cliff, lots of shops and sunset view point...
the best way to go around is renting a car or bike but also there are public buses to reach other villages.
Could not have been more pleased with the accommodations. One of the best views from the front sitting area that we have experienced in our world wide travels. Would advise travelers to arrange first day transportation to the accommodations with the hosts. They pick up in a van, provide luggage transfer into the (about 100 steps down a paved walkway) accommodations, provide other useful information and can make the stay efficient and memorable.
The cave house is in the most breathtaking location. Really spectacular. Jackie was a perfect host, going to considerable trouble to help us with all our Santorini holiday arrangements - even beyond our stay in Oia.
Oia during this peak holiday period gets extremely busy at certain times of the day - particularly sunset. If you are able to come at a less busy time of the year, I would strongly recommend it. And staying in a cave house is certainly a very special and unforgetable experience.
Location, location, location! This roomy and very comfortable rental offered fabulous views and a central location to shops and restaurants. The outdoor lounge area offered the perfect place to soak up the sun and just relax.
Jackie, our host responded to all of my emails in a very timely manner. We took advantage of the reasonable airport transfer to Oia, that Jackie offered and it was well worth the expense in terms of time saved, and having our luggage carried down the steep stairs leading to the house. Jackie and her husband Nicho, gave us an excellent overview of Oia and the house when we arrived, and we thoroughly enjoyed every minute we spent on Santorini.
