About the property

Bach or holiday home, 2 Bedrooms, 1 Bathrooms, (Sleeps 4)

Paradise on the West Coast. Quirky, beach style bach. Set in the charming Fox River along the stunning Coast Road (12 minutes drive from Punakaiki) 45 steps to the beach.

Fantastic spot for groups or families with loads of outdoor space, secure parking, large deck for BBQs, outdoor cooking and an already-to-go bomb fire!

Enjoy picturesque sunsets from an extra camping spot positioned just above the house.

Pets are welcome outside, there is a large kennel available and a great dog walking beach.

Fox River, of course, has a river too! With the boat ramp conveniently located at the end of the driveway, there are some good fishing spots around. The river flows into the beach famously known for its excellent surf break.

Special conditions:

Smoking allowed outside only.

Pets allowed (kennel available)

Camping spot can have up to two tents and vehicles with prior approval. Camp site has nice views over the surf break.

NOTE: Under Kiwi bach tradition you are expected to: Clean the house and do the dishes before you leave; Bring your own linen (towels/sheets/tea towels);

We had a great time over Easter, property is basic but it suited all our needs, it was fantastic having no TV, WiFi, cell reception etc. Kids learnt how to play darts and great fun playing board games and going for walks etc.

We loved the quirkyness and uniqueness of this property.

We loved the quirkyness and uniqueness of this property. And such a perfect location being right beside the beach and the river. And also not far to Punakaikai. Heaps of room. We had such perfect weather for the weekend so utilised the bbq and big deck for relaxing on after our big run on Saturday. Beautiful sunsets both nights. And added bonus to have the market right outside our door on Sunday morning. Thank you for sharing such a beautiful spot :-)

We loved our stay.

We loved our stay. The location was perfect with lots to do close by and the beach so close. The bach is great with it's outdoor firepit and awesome railway conversion. Only thing missing was a toaster - take a gas top camp toaster.
