Casa Sol y Mar (Sun and Sea House) at The Park is a 2-bed, 2-bath, 2-terrace ocean-view condo just one block from the beach in the most convenient section of the never-boring Old Town (Romantic Zone / Zona Romantica). No hills to climb!

Our end-unit condo features an owner-designed floorplan providing two master suites, if desired, windows in every room (including the bathrooms), a step-out balcony in the main master with views of the cathedral, an enlarged kitchen/family room area, and a double-size terrace off the living area.

Attention To Detail

Professionally decorated and featuring resort-quality linens, Casa Sol y Mar strives to provide guests the amenities they expect while on vacation, including beach towels, pool tools and our own pool cart for transporting everything you'll need for a rejuvenating day enjoying Old Town's largest rooftop pool. Our condo also provides three-step water filtration at the sink and refrigerator.

We also have a full-size, in-unit washer and dryer, 50-inch flat-screen TV with HDMI ports, in-unit WiFi, stainless steel appliances and granite/marble countertops with an island that seats 5. The family room includes a couch with pull-out twin-sized trundle bed for a 5th guest.

Gearing Up For The Sky Park

Guests can load up the pool cart with towels, drinks and snacks and head up one of our building's two elevators to The Sky Park. You won't be crowded on Old Town's most spacious rooftop terrace. Here you can enjoy the area's largest rooftop pool - a glorious semi-Olympic, heated, saltwater escape from stress. The Sky Park also features an outdoor grill and food prep area, dining tables, wet bar, bathrooms and outdoor showers.

There are covered lounging areas with a flat-screen television, couches and plenty of comfortable poolside loungers. The views of the Banderas Bay, Old Town and the surrounding mountains never get old.

New Building, With Old Town Charm

Completed in November 2014, The Park isn't a high rise. Rather it is in keeping with the architectural details of Old Town, including red-tiled roofs, white exterior and wrought iron railings. It nestles perfectly within the Romantic Zone's cobblestone streets and is adjacent to the the beach, the park, and the area's vibrant nightlife, entertainment, bars, restaurants and clubs.

Local charm doesn't need to give way to inconvenience, however, as the building features a gym with weights, cardio, televisions and bathrooms, a front desk concierge, garage parking, and 24-hour security, as well as free WiFi in the lobby and on the pool deck.

Unlike many accommodations in Old Town, this building is ideally located in the flattest area making the one-block walk to the beach an easy stroll. You can pick up a coffee on your way at Pages In The Sun.

Never-Boring Romantic Zone

Guests can also gain easy, inexpensive transportation to all of Vallarta's regional attractions by taking advantage of our convenient location on the bus route.

You can watch cultural events and Zumba classes in Lazaro Cardenas Park from our terrace, as well as the Saturday Farmers' Market (seasonal).

You can easily step out our door and go for morning walks or runs on the Malecon (seawall/boardwalk), which offers many galleries, shops, restaurants and historic reference points, monuments and statues.

We are also just a block from some of the hottest dance clubs, as well as the many restaurants and lounges on Basillo Badillo and Olas Altas (streets).

Some favorite nearby restaurants and bars include The Blue Shrimp, Daiquiri Dick's, Joe Jack's Fish Shack, The Palm, Si Senor, La Palapa, and many local dance clubs.

From the Rockies to the Sierra Madre Mountains -

We live outside Boulder, Colorado, with our two daughters and dog, Charlie. We first visited Vallarta for our children's Spring Break in 2013, and were hooked on the area's feel and amenities.

At First, We Meet -

We rented a place in Old Town for the week and loved the cultural vibe and convenience of this authentic Mexican Pueblo on the Pacific, where there is a real sense of community. We decided to purchase our condo because we wanted to make the most of our time on this earth.

Future Escapes -

We also decided perhaps we could make some great family memories returning to Vallarta frequently while our girls are still home, and then after they leave, we will enjoy the area more and more until retirement, when we'll come for months at a time.

We feel very lucky when we can get well-priced 3-hour direct flights from Denver, and so far, have managed to pull that off most of the time with good planning.

Just one block from the beach with no hills to climb, this modern condo features a bounty of light, an extra large terrace, 2 master suites with king and king/double twin convertible beds, a fully equipped kitchen and resort linens. We love being just 10-15 minutes from the airport and then once we check in, being able to walk to so many restaurants and shops, or simply hop on the bus (we are on the bus route) or take a cab.

The condo includes one weekly cleaning during stays of 7 or more days. Extra cleanings can be arranged for $50 per visit. We endeavor to conserve energy at Casa Sol y Mar. Our condo can be cooled by the A/C mini splits, which include one in each bedroom, and one in the main living area, but we ask you turn them off when you are no in the unit or have the windows open. Those renting for longer stays of 30 or more days are responsible for paying electricity.

We have stayed at the Park before and like the location. We really enjoyed the layout of this condo and the larger patio than most. The views of the mountains and city were very nice and the balcony had great water views. We would definitely stay here again.

Great location close to the malecon and many great restaurants.

This unit is very well decorated and furnished with everything you need for your stay. It is very noisy at night with the nightclubs playing load music each night until 4am so take ear plugs and if you are a light sleeper don't take the master bedroom. The TV uses WiFi so depending on how many texts or calls you get while watching it stops reception. The deck outside has very nice furniture to enjoy your morning coffee. There are coolers and beach chairs to enjoy both the rooftop pool or beach. The location is ideal and the staff is very helpful.

Because the local cable television and Wifi service continues to be challenging, we opted for the WiFi channel offerings because they include just about every station, program and movie available. Great Wifi is really important to us as we often work from the condo, so we keep looking for ways to improve this and will be asking for a new router.

Great location! Great condo!

This place is exactly as it states in the description. Beautifully furnished, great beds, big walk in showers. Nice gym which is important to me. Within walking distance of everything. Fully stocked kitchen although who wants to cook when there is every imaginable type of restaurant within a five minute walk. Go to the farmer's market across the street on Saturday morning if you must have food in the condo and stock up. The noise in the condo did not bother us at all. Don't know whether the sound-proof windows had been installed or not. We usually imbibed enough not to notice anyhow. The building staff are extremely helpful with directions, taxis if you need one, etc. I have rented from HomeAway and VRBO many times and been very happy and I can honestly say that Stacey is the best host I have ever encountered. Would recommend this place to anyone.

Perfect vacation

This is our 4th stay at The Park condo. The owners of this unit have really put a lot of thought into making this a home away from home. the condo is bright and airy with additional windows added. A great plus. Wonderful cooking kitchen with large terrace for eating. Owners were quick to respond to any questions and the building staff is and always been very accommodating. Will continue to stay at The Park. Thanks for another wonderful vacation.
