About this property

Cois Locha is Gaelic for along the lake. This recently renovated gorgeous home is the perfect getaway for a family, couples, or group of friends. The house is on a very private double lot. You will not find a more spacious but still warm and cozy place to stay. In all 3 bedrooms our comfy beds are already made for you with fresh sheets and towels are in each room. The house is lined with glass doors to showcase the amazing lakefront views. We have a 480 square foot game room with a slate top pool table, a poker table, and assorted games to play. We have wireless internet throughout the house. You can either chill and relax on the lake or engage in the many activities in the area. The community has a pool, a large playground, basketball court, baseball field, bocce ball courts and picnic areas.
During Winter season at the park there is ice-fishing, snowmobiling, and sledding. Camelback Mountain Resort is close where you can also ski, snow tube or snowboard.
Just minutes away there is the brand new Kalahari Water Park Resort, Great Wolf Resort that is famous for its indoor water park. Also close by is the Mt. Airy Casino with great restaurants, shows and of course gambling. For the adventurer in you we are close to zip-lining, horseback riding and many more adventurous activities. Our neighbor is the Tobyhanna State Park where you can enjoy hiking, mountain biking, boating, picnicking, swimming, fishing, rock climbing and hunting. The state park is a bald eagle preserve along with many other bird types for the bird watchers out there.

If you are more into a relaxed vacation you can snuggle in front of the fire, play a game of pool, take a walk around our beautiful lake or just nap in the hammock. For the foodie we have a well stocked kitchen with anything you can possibly need to whip up a gourmet meal. There are also lots of hidden gem restaurants that are listed in our guest book.
We fell in love with Tobyhanna and our lake house, we are sure you will too.

Great Stay

Wonderful home. We travel a lot and this was by far one of the cleanest rentals we ever stayed in. Instructions and labels provided familiarity right away and ability to get right into relaxing.

Birthday winter getaway

This was our second stay at this home and again the house is very nice and situated only yards from the lake. The Plush towels and great memory foam mattresses and a well stocked kitchen made it perfect as well. As I simply love a wood burning fireplace, the shed full of wood is a huge bonus! My only complaint is that since our first trip there there has been a modification on the fireplace of a steel insert (for efficiency/safety I assume) and that drastically cuts down on the size and charm of the fireplace. Still love the place and would highly recommend .

Enjoyable Stay

This is our second time staying at this property. It’s the perfect size for the six of us. The house is clean. It has a comfortable big couch that can fit everyone. And a working wood fireplace that is great to use. The views of the lake in the morning can’t be beat especially when it snows like when we were there. We will definitely be back again.

We live in Philadelphia. We have happily been married for 13 years. I love to travel and lived in many different places. I came to Philadelphia for college and never left the city I fell in love with and where I met my husband. My husband is from County Tyrone, Ireland and has been here in the US for over 20 years. We both fell in love with Tobyhanna and are proud owners of this lovely lake house.

Why they chose this property

We live in the city and always look forward to getting back to our house in the Poconos. We first rented before owning and one thing we didn't like about renting was packing sheets, towels and basic things like hand soap and toilet paper. We provide these items for your convenience. Our house is meant to be a place to relax but still close to fun adventures too. The peaceful serene setting was the perfect place to chill and wind down. To wake in the morning with deer or wild turkeys in the yard and ducks on the lake was like being on another planet for the city dweller. We have put a lot of effort to make the house feel welcoming to everyone that visits. We know you will love it as much as we do.

What makes this property unique

We are directly on the lake and the view is incredible.The house is on a double lot and surrounded by trees so its very private. The large game room is a great place to socialize or just chill and play pool or poker. It's has an open layout with a great big kitchen. The first floor bathroom has a giant soaking tub that is great to have a bubble bath and splash around a little.
