Excellent experience, we arrived from nearby Miami on a hot Sunday. On arrival we felt the A/C was not up to part, so we contacted the agent and within an hour the issue was completely resolved. We stay at the Resort every year, this year we did not find occupancy for the chosen period, so we used VRBO for the first time, therefore, we can compare both, we will recommend Casey Potter's vacation home to everyone, specially families, without reservation, location of the unit by the pool area was great and without noise!, parking was accessible, as well as the beach, we plan to return next year.

Great stay!

Upon our arrival the directions provided by the owner was clear and extremely helpful (aside from the fact that we had no clue which unit was ours). The lockbox was jammed (thank goodness my husband is handy and was able to fix it). Once inside we were pleased with the size quality and cleanliness of the unit. The kitchen is fully stocked with dishes pots and pans and utensils.

The beach was within a reasonable distance to walk and was beautiful. We were confused as the to distinction between the hotel and the condos here. Hotel guests had the usage of the chairs on the beach (not us staying in the condos). We did use the chairs left by the owners on the 2nd day but rented chairs the first day ($26.50 worth it!). Having a parking space was incredible! We rented a car and it was so worth it as there are many food options we drove to that were amazing!!! Drivable restaurants (Mangos Dockside and Joeys Pizza were yum!!!!).Being here on their off seasons was a gift! No waits at restaurants and the beach was peacefully quiet!

Overall we were happy with our stay and would return (we would need a bigger space with our children). Amazing value! Would return!

Already planning to go back

We;ve stayed at this location in the past, but was the first time booking directly with an owner. The location of this unit makes it pretty special. It has a patio and is on the same level as the pool. Makes it very convenient! At first, I read about not being able to use the resort chairs and was worried - but the Tommy Bahama chairs provided were easy to carry (hooked on like a bookbag) and were very comfortable. The umbrella was lightweight and had a great sand anchor. Honestly, it was more convenient than the resort chairs because we would put the umbrella really close to the shoreline and watch the kids play. The resort unbrellas are only on their designated rows. Turned out much better than I had expected. This unit is GREAT!

Comfortable, inviting, great location.

My husband and I have stayed at Marco Beach Ocean Resort two other times in the past three years, and all three times we have rented directly from owners. We've loved it every time. This time we were in unit 506 which is on the garden level leading out to the pool area and the elevator going down to the parking garage and also the beach access. The owner has thought of nearly everything for a comfortable stay. The unit has been updated with top of the line fixtures in the bathroom, a very comfortable king size bed in the bedroom with plenty of hangers and drawers for our clothing (I hate living out of a suitcase). The owners had plenty of 'starter' goods - coffee, creamer and coffee filters (much appreciated since we arrived later in the evening), plus soap, paper towels, toilet paper, etc. Lots of towels, extra blankets and pillows. We used a beach towel for a 'rug' by the patio door to try to catch the dirt coming in on our shoes, a rug there would've been nice. There's beautiful hardwood flooring throughout, but an area rug would've been nice by the couches. Great flatscreen tv's in both the bedroom and living room. We used the fitness center nearly every day, easily walked to several great bars/eating places just down the street on Collier. The weather was chilly while we were there, so not much beach time, but loved walking along the beach just the same. The hotel staff at the front desk and doormen were friendly and helpful, even though we were not guests of the hotel. Cab fare is reasonable any where on the island ( only $6!), so left our car in the garage several evenings so we could enjoy cocktails without having to drive. Highly recommend this unit, the rates in January were extremely reasonable. Will definitely be back!

Would Return

We rented this property for a week in celebration of our anniversary. The unit is as described and shown. Property manager was responsive. We experienced no real disappointments. This resort was never crowded. Parking two levels down with elevator was convenient as was the nearby beach which is wonderful for long walks; we used the umbrella and Tommy Bahama beach chairs which were comfortable; pool and hot tub are close by; the garden level gives you the sense you are staying at a larger venue; the extra half bathrooms in the hallway outside the entry we found useful. We had enough room to invite my brother for a few nights (though this revealed the hot water system was stressed to keep up).

Amenities at Marco Island are equal to those any where in south west Florida. Also we enjoyed day trips to Sanibel/Captiva and Naples. Among our best meals was beer-battered grouper at Quinn's on the beach at nearby Marriott. Snook Inn at west end of Bald Eagle Drive has great view of bay (a manatee came to dock side), live musician, good seafood and land lubber options and a terrific salad bar (we went to Snook three times!). Great breakfasts at NeNe on Collier. There is a shuttle you can call for certain venues; we did not use it. Weather was spotty but we always managed to find a way to have fun! [Clouds and light rain has us on the covered Patio for periods; these three chairs had decorative but uncomfortable seat backs]. The advertised rates are increased with several mandatory fees. This morning my wife told me she would be happy to return there; Pretty strong endorsement.

Marco condo

Loved this condo! It was clean, roomy. It had everything we needed and was very accommodating. The only thing was renting from the owner excludes you from use of umbrella and nice loungers on beach, but in the description it mentioned chairs were provided so I didn't bring ours. The chairs were not comfy. Costco has a great chair for the beach!
