With its massive stone fireplace gracing the cathedral ceiling of the great room, four bedrooms (2 with King beds, 1 Full size, 1 with 2 bunks) , family room, large kitchen, play room/bonus 5th bedroom (with 1 Queen bed and 2 Twin beds), dining room, breakfast nook, big screen tv, wifi, and much more, this house offers everything you can ask for in a vacation rental.

A wonderful beach is just minutes away in summer and in winter, a world class ski center (Gore Mountain) is just 15 minutes, or the full-service Nordic Center at Garnet Hill for classic & skate skiing and snowshoeing is just 20 minutes.
We have lived here in beautiful Minerva, NY for over 20 years. We built this home in 2004. It has been a fabulous place to raise children - quiet location with a lot of wildlife to see. A blue heron took up summer residency in 2008 ... enjoys fishing the trout that my boys have caught in local streams and stocked into our pond. The boys grew up kayaking & swimming on the pond when they weren't catching frogs! In winter, we stepped into cross-country skis and donned headlamps for after-dinner expeditions through our woods.
Mindy Preuninger purchased this house in 2004
We moved here to be in the Adirondack Mountains. As avid outdoor enthusiasts and nature lovers we want to have access to all this area has to offer.
Our house has many unique and special features about it. From the pond with it's dock and floating diving platform and the 300 sq. ft. Tree House with carpeting, screens and beds, to the lavishly and tastefully decorated Great room, Family room, Music and Dining rooms of the house, everything has been meticulously and carefully maintained.
Spacious, lots of beds, hot tub, beautiful places to hike and kayak nearby, grill and nice kitchen, lots of privacy. We had an excellent stay and recommend it.
Only one minor complaint, which is really no fault of the owners, but some of the roads nearby are allegedly "private" but not marked as such. On multiple occasions we were just going for a jog in the area but were angrily chased away by cranky/rude neighbors.
This place was beautiful! HUGE area! Beds for 14 comfortably, but with the couches and places for air mattresses could easily fit 20. There is no wood fire pit directly by the house, you have to walk through the woods near the tree house to use it, so that was kind of a pain. The master shower was to die for. The pond (none of us would get in it) hundreds of minnows gathered to the surface when anything touched the surface of the water. Air conditioning would have been helpful as well. The upstairs gets stuffy so I 100% recommend to bring a fan in the summer! Overall the place was spectacular- if we get our deposit back, we will absolutely be staying there again!
This was the first year our three-family group rented Nature's Paradise, and it was by far the nicest home we've rented at Gore in the last 20 years. The house had ample bedrooms and bathrooms, and the beds were plenty big and comfortable (not a given with rental homes around Gore). Plus, this house was a beautifully built and decorated adirondack home, which we felt very privileged to borrow for a great ski weekend. Looking forward to coming back in the summer to swim in the pond!
First off, the house was beautiful and very well taken care of. We had come up to the area so my friends and I can ski Gore (about 15 minutes away) and it turned out to be an excellent trip. Plenty of space for 12 and well stocked. The owners weren't too far away which is great just in case we had any concerns. Overall it was a very fun trip and we'll be looking to rent this property again should be come back to the area.
My friends and I spent the weekend whitewater rafting and cooked meals in the fully furnished home. A very comfortable stay. A perfect out of the way home. Very clean and well stocked home. Plenty of parking. Large swimming pond and hot tub. Very close to attractions. Owners are close by and always reachable by phone if there are issues or questions. I highly recommend staying here and I will return for another stay again
In addition to being only 10 miles from Gore Mountain for Winter skiing, the location of our home is central to accessing many family and individual activities and attractions ... historical forts (Ticonderoga and Fort William Henry), Adirondack Great Camps (Santanoni, Sagamore), Museums (Adirondack Museum and The Wild), Road Biking, Mountain Biking, Hiking, Kayaking & Canoeing in summer/fall; Whitewater Rafting & Fishing in spring; Cross-Country & Downhill Skiing or Snowshoeing in winter. We are happy to share many of our favorite places for adventures with our guests.
