Secluded area with close-by fishing and hunting
This is an exceptional place to stay to get away from the new world. The views to the sea and mountains and of the neighboring sheep paddock are tranquility itself. The house is beautifully sited on a bluff on the very edge of the village of Orepuki. It is quite modern and spotlessly maintained, with large expanses of glass to take maximum advantage of the great views. Highest marks for this property and the hosts !!!
We really enjoyed staying at this property. The views are just amazing.
This was a warm and comfortable place to stay in a great location with amazing views. Highly recommended for a base to explore the area or a great place to just get away and relax.
We were booked for 3 nights. The overpowering smell of cigarette smoke, the lack of curtains in the 2nd bedroom and the lack of cotton sheeting were all a bit of a turnoff but by the afternoon of day 2, when the sun was pouring in and all the doors were open, we were much more enthusiastic. The kitchen and bathroom facilities are fine, the distant view pleasing.
We tried a few different places out on this trip to NZ. This is one of the best. First off the bed is great. Not some 20 year old worn out thing that you fight with all night and wake up more tired than when you went to bed (sorry to carry on here but we had some shockers this trip). The location is fabulous overlooking gemstone beach. It is warm and very comfortable and everything works. We'd be very happy to go back and will recommend it to family and friends who travel South.
