A little poem
Here is what my best friend wrote after a Summer weekend at The Treehouse:
A treehouse, a ski house, a make memories you and me house
Such a warm cozy place
to enjoy with family and friends and escape from the race
Just quality time to laugh, love, walk, talk and take in the fresh Vermont Air
A true vacation with beautiful surroundings, views and activities which can't compare
We will forever treasure the simple moments together as one family throwing around the football
Morning walks, hikes and dinner talk around the table;
The saying that family is by whim of nature and nurture sure ain't a fable.
A treehouse, a ski house, a make memories you and me house.
John and Leslie have been going to Okemo for decades. Leslie learned to ski there and continues to love how family friendly it is. Now we are teaching our daughters to ski and it's so fun to see them loving the mountain too.
Leslie Bubello purchased this chalet in 2014
We bought this house on an impulse after a great day of skiing early in December 2014 and we have been working on it non-stop to get it up to date. It's cozy and comfortable and is exactly what a ski lodge should be!
The Okemo Shuttle to base lodge runs in front of the house multiple times per day making your ski day hassle free.
We just stayed at the house with 3 other families. We occupied the house in full, for 4 days and 4 nights for a Thanksgiving weekend, and it never felt crowded. First, Leslie the owner was exceptionally caring and accommodating before and during our stay. Leslie brought an extra table and chairs to fit all 16 of us for great dinners. When we entered the house, all the beds were set up, the bathrooms were crystal clean. During our stay there were no problems whatsoever, the house is a WALKING distance from the Okemo Mountain slopes, there is a supermarket 2 minutes drive away (we went on foot). On the last day we asked if it would be fine to check out later and here again Leslie was very accommodating, which made our check out so much more relaxed and easy. Thank you, Leslie!
We had a great stay at the Chalet. There was plenty of room for our entire family vacation (15 of us). The location was great and Leslie was very accommodating. There was a welcome basket for us when we arrived which was a very nice touch above and beyond. Overall the vacation was wonderful, despite the lack of snow this past winter. Because of this, everyone stayed in the house, not on the slopes. We were grateful for the much needed space. Thank you Leslie for the great experience.
Great house in a great location! We went as 2 families and had 4 children. But we definitely had room for more! No complaints. Very well maintained. Super fun skiing at Okemo and good restaurants very close by. I would definitely go back again!
We really enjoyed our stay at this big, comfy house. The main floor is cozy and was very comfortable for our two families with six little kids. Nice fireplace on the main floor, big TV, big table for family dinner. The house has a lot of sleeping spaces which is great for families with kids. Plenty of clean, fresh linens. The kitchen was clean and has everything you need to cook at home. The basement has a concrete floor and was quite chilly (didn't get above 60 degrees even with the heat on) but we were fine to stay on the main floor. Has a washer/dryer which is great if you need it. Great location - takes just a minute to drive over to the base lodge by car. Walking would probably take about 5 minutes. All in all a great place to rent and the owner, Leslie was a pleasure to deal with.
We stayed in this house over Superbowl weekend. The owners were super accommodating to the point where they bought a new flat screen TV for the family room to make our Superbowl experience even more enjoyable! We did have a major blizzard with high winds the day before Superbowl and we had a small problem with the heat in the house. We were able to reach the owners immediately and they worked with us to resolve the problem. They were even willing to drive up to the house to help us! The house is very close to the mountain. Our kids even skied to the Okemo base lodge one day. It only took a few minutes. It snowed quite a bit while we were up there (great skiing!) and the driveway was quickly sanded and plowed each time. I have a Honda minivan and had no problems getting in and out of the driveway. The towels and linens in the house were very nice and seemed brand new. The family room with fireplace and TV was really cute and cozy and great for hosting a little Superbowl party. We really enjoyed our breakfasts and dinners in the dining room and found the kitchen to be well stocked. Plenty of bedroom options and the downstairs was great for storing skis, boots and sleds. The washer and dryer were also downstairs, so there was no need to drag wet ski clothes through the house. Our kids enjoyed sledding out the side of the house. As other guests have stated, the house was very clean and there was an abundance of firewood.
Super close to the mountain - either a couple second car ride or can pick up the shuttle that comes around in the mornings and afternoon. House is great - had all the amenities that we needed for a group weekend with a bunch of friends. Kitchen was full of everything we needed and bathrooms had soap and towels. Everything was very clean. Plenty of wood to keep the fireplace going. Would totally come back! Leslie was super easy to work with and answered all my questions very quickly as well.
